Kees was a terrific host from start to finish! He greeted us by name upon arrival and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay of two nights. Each day, he provided a recommendation we pursued and ended up quite satisfied each time (dinner one night and a nice walking route on the other day). Kees also quickly picked up...

Our recent stay at Speelmansrei has been very pleasant. Kees & Kathleen were super-friendly and made us feel very much at home. Kees talked about the history of the house, showed us their garden & fish pond while Kathleen walked us through her pottery studio, which were fascinating. The guest room was comfortable and spacious, and there were plenty of...

We chose this accommodation after reading reviews on TA. The location is very central in a quiet street and a five minute walk from the Belfry. There are 2 rooms available, both in the first floor. We chose the room facing the garden and park and I recommend this over the front room which overlooks the street purely for the...

Our stay was wonderful at this B&B. Kees and Kathleen were wonderful hosts and such nice people. This is the best B&B experience we have ever had. We hope to return someday, and also keep in touch with the hosts. Loved it!

Our recent 3-night stay at this B&B exceeded our expectations. Kees and Kathleen's warm hospitality, delightful home, and delicious breakfasts made our stay truly memorable. Kees's suggestions for dinner and walks around Bruges were spot on. Our thanks for such a special stay.

What a beautiful home! Kees was friendly and very hospitable from the moment we arrived. Beautiful large bathroom and king size bed made this stay perfect. The location is perfect to access all that Bruges has to offer. We highly recommend it.

Speelmansrei is a pure delight. Kees and Kathleen have impeccable taste and their B&B is by far one of the best I've ever stayed in. The room is light-filled, spotlessly clean, and very stylish. The bed... well all I can say is I recommend you set your alarm. You won't wake up from this bed without a prod! Breakfast is...

My boyfriend and I just stayed here for a lovely weekend break. The room was perfect and the house is spotless and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is to die for! One of the best I've ever had in any hotel! So good that we ate too much and were full for most of the day! Kees and Kathleen are extremely...

We echo the previous reviews. Kees and Kathleen are such gracious host, attending to your every need, supplying maps, his personal knowledge where to go and what to do. Thank you! ! The rooms is huge, the shower is wonderful, the TV set on CNN and its 100s of channels, the fantastic breakfast, what more can be said. It's centrally...

Our visit to Bruges was enhanced by the wonderful accommodations of Speelmansrei and our gracious hosts Kees Wallenkamp and Kathleen Carels. The exterior looks very old in keeping with the general architectural style of old Bruges. The interior is completely modern including a lift. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden and quiet canal behind the house. Kees gave...
