Nice hotel. Nice rooms. Don't eat there. Breakfast was a passable chain hotel sort of thing, but don't eat lunch or dinner there. Lots of late night noise from a drinking crowd if you get a riverview room. Morning views are great. Great walking nearby.

Good afternoon Madam, Sir, Thank you for the time you took to provide us with your feedback. I am very happy to see you scored us 4/5 for location. Would it please be possible to provide me with more information concerning the breakfast, lunch and dinner experience as I can see you are not 100 % satisfied. To improve our...

My wife and I stayed here for one night during a recent trip to Ghent to celebrate my birthday. I had requested for an early check-in and a quiet room, and were granted both. We had checked in around 11:45 a.m., and we were given a room after the receptionist checked with housekeeping whether our allotted room had been cleaned...

Good afternoon Madam, Sir, I am very pleased to read that you scored our location 5/5. Unfortunately we could not meet all your expectations. I informed our Housekeeping Manager about your feedback concerning cleanliness and she will introduce immediate actions to solve these issues. Upon arrival we do indeed ask for a deposit (by credit card authosiation or cash payment)....

We stayed at the Marriott for 2 nights at the weekend and were very pleased. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good bed and nice clean bathroom. The location of the hotel is brilliant, right on the canal and very central. Following tips from other reviewers we used Parking 7 just round the corner, which was much cheaper...

It's a nice property in a great location. The beds are so lovely and comforting. The lobby is welcoming and airy so I was happy to sit and eat by myself when my friends were elsewhere. But the staff of this hotel is above and beyond anything I have experienced elsewhere. This calm helpful friendly alert group of people obviously...

My family spent 4 nights in the Marriott Ghent. I can't say enough good things about the front desk staff at the hotel. They were incredibly helpful about making plans and offering advice and went out of their way to wish me a Happy Birthday. The rooms were well designed and spotlessly clean and the beds incredibly comfortable. I was...

Pros: Location - fantastic. You walk out the back door and you are in the middle of it all. It's about a $8 taxi from train station or a very direct and easy 7 minute tram ride. Room - comfortable and clean. Just like what you expect at the Marriott. Breakfast - I think it was around $25 - $30...

Great position and superb customer service, the beds are as usual very comfortable, room was spotless and well appointed, one point to make is the car parking is extra but in Ghent parking is at a premium so worthwhile. We paid extra for breakfast and although it was good we both said it would have been better not to have...

There are roadworks everywhere in Ghent and as a consequence it took longer than it should have done to find the hotel and the drive through the city was quite stressful. Consequently, when I did arrive I was stressed and really regretting this stop over en route from Germany to Calais, this was compounded when I found out the room...

Our experience in Ghent was heightened by our great experience in Marriott Hotel. The location is perfect (with good and reasonable parking rate). Kudos to the front desk staff (both days) who were very eager to guide us through the city - you can feel their sincerity in our conversation. The housekeeping staff (of Asian decent) were also very nice...
