Having read the reviews we went with high expectations,De Waterzooi surpassed them all ! Christian and Kay gave us such a warm welcome, the local/homemade breakfast kept us going until evening. The suite was immaculate and everything you could possibly need had been provided.Location is central with everything happening around you, yet so quite. Great choice of restaurants with- in...

This is more, much more than a B&B, 3 individual suites on 3 floors with lift. Excellent hosts who have poured many hours and much money in to creating the perfect residence for the traveller. You could , if you wished spend all day in your suite, each has its own private balcony over looking what must be one of...

We stayed in this amazing luxurious b&b for two nights for my husband's 30th. We arrived late on Friday night and Kay and Christian very kindly showed us the most important bits of the room. The room was stunning, with a large living area, a huge terrace and fantastic view of the castle. The bed was a tempure bed, which...

My husband & I just checked out of this B&B this morning & ...Wow! One of the coolest places I have ever stayed in all my travels! We are on our honeymoon & stayed only 2 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer! We had the Phara suite which is on the top level. It features an amazing view...

We stayed in gent one night and we couldn't have picked a better place. Our room had 2 bedrooms and was perfect for us and our 15 year-old daughter. The location is outstanding as it is right across the street from Gravenstein Castle and just a few minute's walk from central Gent. Gent is a wonderful town that is especially...

We stayed here for the 2nd time and it was as lovely as the first. We visited Belgium with some friends and since it was our friends first time in Europe we thought we would start them off at this B&B and they certainly were not dissapointed. This is by far one of the finest B&B's around and you cannot...

Nice suite, large, in the center of the town facing "Het Gravensteen". Friendly hosts, good breakfast. There will be always better but it will be hard to find.

We stayed at De Waterzooi on April 2nd and 3rd, having arrived by train & Eurostar via Brussels. The city itself is beautiful but much less of a tourist trap than Bruges. De Waterzooi is central, with the number 1 tram stop outside. It is a short walk to everything of interest, not least the vibrant Graslei where there are...

Kay and Christian are wonderful hosts who have lovingly restored and converted de Waterzooi into the most exquisite accommodation. Tram 1 takes you straight from Gent St Pieters station and drops you in St Veerleplein, just steps from de Waterzooi. Kay gave us the most generous welcome and, over a cup of tea (along with petit fours and chocolates!), gave...

We booked our stay at De Waterzooi based on two things - 1) its location across from the castle and 2) the positive reviews here on Tripadvisor. Thank you, fellow travelers and those who have taken the time to share your reviews on sites such as this - you didn't steer us wrong! My husband and I celebrated our 15th...
