Great localization (near to the subway and to the two main train stations), great staff, very nice rooms (clean, cosy and spacious). The bar is also fantastic for drinks (belgium beers) or food. The WiFi was always in perfect condition. Very recommended!

I spent one night with a friend at the hostel. We booked a room for 2 people, which was very clean. We arrived early to the hostel so we couldn't do the check in, but there was an amazing locker room where we could securely leave the luggage for the day -- better to bring your own padlock, although they...

Hostel is located quite central. I stayed with two friends and we managed to walk everywhere except the Atomium. We had a 3-person room which was quite big and which was on the top floor (4th). The room was clean and the beds were basic but did sleep just fine. For the reasonable price they charge the room and small...

Close to the Botanic Garden subway station (2 blocks away) and very close to supermarkets and bars, which makes it very practical. The hostel itself has all it needs - breakfast (good!), a bar with Belgium beer, laundry opened 24x7. The prices are fair and the rooms are good. To my surprise, I had a room facing the bar and...

Fantastic trip, already planning my trip for next year! The hostel's courtyard is lovely for sitting with a beer (the bar is cheap and great) and meeting other travellers! The bartender played great music and the karaoke was hilarious. BEST HOSTEL EVER.

Absolutely brilliant hostel. I stayed for 3 nights in a 4-bed room with my friends and we all loved it. It's in an amazing location with the metro station, resturants and cafes really nearby. It also felt really safe at nighttime when we came back from a night out quite late. The room was very clean, spacious and bright and...

Stayed 2 nights 24-26 May 2013 in a private room. Clean, neat, private, quiet, excellent service. My room directly opens its windows to a huge balcony and I love it. The staff even helped me with my luggage when I needed to bring to the basement to temporarily keep them until I got checked in. The night staff was a...

Stayed here two nights on a short trip to Brussels. Nice clean well run hostel. Lovely staff who answered questions in a friendly way. They have a good breakfast. Lots of hot water in the showers and pretty tight security. All in all a good place to stay - cheap. The hostel bar is no great shake. Dank and confining...

I stayed here for one night in a dorm room. It was really nice! The staff were very helpful, the facilities were nice, and the breakfast was definitely the fullest and most wide-ranging hostel breakfast I've seen. I also spent a couple hours in the evening at the bar, where the bartender played some really good music and was very...

The Jacques Brel Youth Hostel is ideally located at about 10 min walking from the Brussels Main Square (Grand-Place). Nearby, you'll be able to take a picture of the Manneken-Pis. The hostel is located on the Place des Barricades, a amazing neoclassic square with typical white buildings. A really relaxing and quit place right in the centre of the capital city.
