We stayed here for 2 nights in the Congo room. This was a standard double, on the third level, looking out over the side street. Unlike some of the other reviewers we had no issues with noise keeping us awake and we were there for the weekend. The reception is open until 11pm but as we took a late Eurostar...

We (family of 5) stayed here for one night in August 2006. A very very pleasant experience! As you have noticed, the rooms are decorated in various themes after different -often exotic- locations/countries/cities. This is a marvellous idea! And they've done it superbly! We had two rooms at very reasonable prices (I think 75 Euros each), breakfast included. The location...

We booked the Hotel Welcome after reading great reviews on several travel sites (trip advisor, Rick Steves, etc.) and we were not disappointed. The location is great - within 5 minutes walking distance to the Grand Palais and other tourist attractions - but it's on a quiet street next to a beautiful church. However, the best part of our stay...

A wonderful cultural blast. The Welcome Hotel represents the romantic vision of European travel that many people miss when they stay at large chain hotels. The owner and staff provided excellent service, friendly advice and served awesome breakfasts. The old fish market district is a hub of wonderful restaurants and only 10 minutes walk to shopping and the major attractions.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Welcome for 8 days and thoroughly enjpoyed it. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a very convienient part of town. Everything is accessible by foot. In all my years of travel I have never had such friendliness from everyone at a hotel. When we come back...

Amazing hotel with excellent location. My room (China) was like a cosy little appartment. Excellent staff, excellent breakfast. After 11pm the reception desk is closed and you access the hotel via a side door with your own key, can be convenient. I would recommend this hotel to those who prefer a genuine atmosphere and dedicated staff in a small hotel....

Hotel has a great, convenient location. Very cute ambiance. Wide variety for breakfast. We stayed in the Tahiti room, cute decorations. However, the bed was really uncomforable, the mattress on the wood bamboo, I had a really hard time sleeping. also, pillows weren't enough and too flat. Other than having difficulty sleeping due to comfort, this is a nice hotel.

Unremarkable, indeed slightly down-at-heel, from the outside, this turns out to be an unusual place, light-years removed in spirit and style from your average city hotel. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are each named after a nation or continent – Bali, Egypt, Africa, Cuba and so on – and each is decorated accordingly. It could be very kitsch,...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night in late June. The location is very good (literally outside the Ste Catherine tube station) and a 10-minute walk to the Grand Place. Once the building work has been completed in the square outside the setting would be even better. On arriving we'd been upgraded to a better room - Marrakesh...

Me & my other half stayed at the Welcome Hotel and loved it. We stayed in the Silk room suite and it ticked all the boxes. The room was really clean, the bed was huge! We really couldn't have asked for more. The Breakfast had an excellent choice of both hot and cold buffet and the location of the hotel...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated at the heart of Brussels in the subway saint-Catherine, at 6 mn walking distance of the famous Grand Place. The hotel, at the same time atypical and welcoming, offers a real world tour because its 14 rooms with shower or balneo bath and its 2 SUITES with double Jacuzzi are decorated in the style of a different country with authentic objects brought back of the journeys of the owners, others were offered to them by customers. Rooms offer a real comfort with WiFi connection and certain air-conditioning. It is the magic place which will make you dream. ... more   less
