A stunning hotel in the heart of Den Haag, you are surrounded by shops (in fact our room overlooked them), yet it was a peaceful calm amongst the hustle and bustle. We opted for a duplex suite and it did not disappoint. A walk and a half to get to, but the room impressed. We were only here for one night as part of a netherlands tour, however we both agreed this was our favourite, we wished we had more time here.
We had a lovely stay at The Collector this week. The staff members are incredible and welcoming. The room we stayed in, The Gallery, was lovely. Furthermore, the location of The Collector is amazing, close to many restaurants and stores. Also, the breakfast was lovely and offered many options. We could leave the luggage after check-out, which gave us the possibility to enjoy The Hague to the fullest. I woud surely recommend this hotel and hope to visit again! Kind regards, Puck
Very nice hotel. Personalised stay, great room with a quirky touch. Great deco and feeling a little bit more at home than in a hotel. Very nice service and staff. Felt welcome from the moment you arrive. The breakfast was great and food very good quality. With come back for sure
This was an absolutey brilliant find! The location is amazing, it's in a beautiful little courtyard, so you feel away from the hustle and bustle while still being right in the middle of the city. Plenty of great restaurants and bars in walking distance and we used the tram to go further afield to the beach etc. The hotel itself was immaculately finished and had a lot of character. The staff were very welcoming and thoughtful and we really liked the touch of giving us a bag of snacks for the journey when we left! We didn't go for the breakfast option, as we were happy ot just grab a coffee and fruit on the go, so I was glad it was optional and not automatically included in the cost of the stay. I would absolutely recommend to anyone and wouldn't stay anywhere else when returning to The Hague.…
My wife found this place and it was a wonderful find. It's located in central Hague not far from the train station or the Mauritshuis Museum. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating, particularly when it came to directions and arranging for a taxi. Our hotel room was a bit small but charming and more than acceptable. I would definitely recommend The Collector Hotel as an alternative to large impersonal chain hotels.
We have stayed in many hotels in many places and the Collector is right up there with the best. Located in a courtyard it is in a brilliant location for getting around the city. The room we had was a little small but that was OK.it was spotlessly clean with a good sized bathroom and shower. The bed was really comfortable with good pillows. Only issue was street noise, not the fault of the hotel. The bar and common area was bright and comfortable with a quirkiness about it. The breakfast selection was very good with eggs and pancakes cooked to order. An outstanding feature of the Collector are the staff, really friendly, professional and ready to help with anything. Any quibbles i might have are minor. I found the WiFi a little inconsistent and the television in the room only had YouTube access. There wereTV channels but could not access. I didn't question it as it wasn't a particular issue for us. You cannot get to the hotel directly by taxi or car, but the Markt Grote tramstation is only a three minute walk away. There are a great selection of restaurants nearby. A lovely touch from the hotel was a goody bag on check out that included a discount voucher for a future stay.…
I cannot fault this hotel, the staff is outstanding, the style and decoration very tasteful, great location, cleanliness cannot be any better, excellent breakfast. A reason to return to The Hague. One of a kind at all levels
Thanks to Shirley who showed us around the hotel as we were looking to compare the Collector to other hotels for our next visit to the Hague. Really quirky reception and bar area. Very friendly staff and lovely rooms.
A beautiful hotel with a very quirky and stylish interior and decoration. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. We stayed in a standard room for two nights which was more than spacious and comfortable enough for us. My only discrepancy is that our room was facing the busy high street and could be quite noisy with revellers walking by. We also had the breakfast there which was sufficient and tasty. I liked the courtyard it and it’s central location to all amenities. I would definitely stay there again but ask for a room facing the courtyard. I have to mention the bed and pillows were really soft and welcoming!
This hotel is an amazing place stay, the collections are original but great to look at. The staff is attentive and fun. Location is in the city center with Scallywags, the Food Hallen and Loetje right next to them. Breakfast was great ( pancakes yum)
