We stayed here just for 1 night and had a great time. Love the style and quality of this hotel. The room we had (311) was a little on the small side, but considering the age of the building etc, i forgive them, The staff were also very pleasant and professional. Our only negative comments were that we had to wait 30 minutes for 2 cocktails, which is not good enough, but I guess we were just unlucky. The pillows were also not great (but the bed itself was very comfy).
Absolutely lovely little gem in the perfect location in The Hague. Hotel indigo is a beautiful little hotel with fantastic service. Their included breakfast (if you get the option) is well worth every penny - tons of choices all super fresh. The restaurant also is very tasty - I had the tartare, salad and burger while I was there and all were great portions and yummy! Service is very quick, friendly and accommodating and their bar had a great selection of drinks. Disappointingly the special speakeasy bar is only open Fri/Sat so didn’t get to experience that part. The rooms overall are a bit small but perfectly comfortable and the bathrooms lovely. My only minor irritation was the fact that there is no full length mirror in the room - how is a girl supposed to check her attire?!! Seems a small but worthwhile fix… loved the coffee bar in the room and replenished little cookies every day. Superb experience from IHG!…
Wonderful staff! Location good, although the hotel will only cover the parking if you use the lot 10 minutes walk from hotel. We parked across the street without knowing this and the charge was 35 euros! The room with a loft was charming to look at but difficult to stay in. Stairs steep and not much room downstairs for luggage. Dining room was all but empty but the food was good. There is another IHG property around the corner that seemed much livelier and sophisticated. I think the name was Covo. Anyway, this was okay just not great.
Great stay / fantastic location and really interesting themed rooms. Loved the bar in the vault and great service. Local area was very historic with palace and parliament building a stone throw away Loved the split level bedroom and the free minibar was a bonus
Indigo as a brand of IHG is located in a former bank building , facing the Royal Palace. Spacious rooms, well designed as the could save most of the original details. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. The only disappointment was the bar, located in the former vault, being closed due to staff shortage. So inform in advance if the bar is opened.
I often stay at IHG hotels and am always pleased with the warmth and hospitality of their employees. The Hotel Indigo is no exception and if it weren't for the decor of the room, I would have given this property 5 bubbles. The lobby area and restaurant are absolutely lovely- wonderful, warm and beautifully decorated. The bedroom, however, is done in drab, sad colors along with dark wood. I understand that this was a bank and a landmark building and I assume that the interior designers were going after a look in keeping with the history of the building. This could have been done but with more uplifting colors, fabrics and wall art. I realize that this is completely subjective and that tastes vary but a friend who also stayed in this hotel held the same opinion- the room decor is a bit depressing. A positive about the room is that it has a great shower and it is very quiet with a comfortable bed. I would stay here again but if there are plans to update/refresh the rooms, I would suggest a lighter and more inviting decor.…
First time staying in a hotel with the restrictions that are currently in place in the Netherlands. We could order food to our room from the restaurant. The food looked amazing and tasted just as good. The service was brilliant. They bring each course to your room 45 mins after the other. Breakfast you had a time slot to collect it, again service was brilliant and food great. The service in the hotel was impeccable. We will definitely be back! Also loved the decor, keeping in theme with the history of the building.
The rooms are a tad small, but tastefully done in line with the building's history (it used to be a bank). All the things you need are there, and the bed is comfortable. Given the hotel's location in the city centre and with various public transport options around the corner, this is unbeatable.
We where doubting between the Collector and Indigo, We chosed Indigo because the building was most special. What we liked was the building was the old building of the Dutch National Bank. The location was perfectly in the center. Everybody was friendly and helpfull. What we didn't like was that the website was not clear so you think a room cost EUR 110 but you and up must higher with addition to can't understand. Even after calling I didn't get explanation. the interior was not our taste and we mist integration with the external architect so no integration with the building. And we didn't like that you had not buffet breakfast and needed to commut to certain time although they managed well and it was because of covid we didn;t liked it.
Really nicely designed hotel in former office of the Dutch National Bank. Best is to ask for a room that has regular windows, I ended up on the attic. Also nicely designed, but dark and very little view. A thing I missed was a gym,’or at least access to a gym somewhere else. Surprisingly, for an upscale hotel, not to think of that.
