Helpful staff. Waiter at breakfast provided excellent service. Good breakfast service with fresh orange juice. Cleaning staff very helpful. Rooms nicely decorated and clean. Glad no more small toiletries used. Overall wonderful experience.
Comfortable room. I was in a double which was perfectly sized for my needs (business trip). Plenty of room, comfortable bed, nicely sized bathroom (not a crammed afterthought like some other hotels). The breakfast buffet is worth the modest additional. The food was well prepared and nice way to start the day. the restaurant was vibrant with activity throughout the day, a testimony to its appeal.
Overrated, and not worth 150/night The image is misleading. The entry is somewhere to the side of the building. Checking in was cumbersome (it took 5 min. waiting); The hotel shares the entry with a restaurant and bar. Since there is not always someone at the desk it is possible that people other than hotel guest reach the hotel part. The safe in the room is not bolted to the wall; you just can take it out of the closet. There is no minibar in the room (for me a first) Our rooms were at the front of the hotel, opposite another bar. Sound isolation of the rooms was far from sufficient (and the party went on all night). Finally, the heater didn't work in our room. They would "repair it", and it would take some time, but the temperature would go from 16 -> 22. The temperature was virtually unchanged 12 hours later. Given all this it's a 3 star at best; even that may be to much…
Nice experience staying at the court hotel. Mobile keys, good location, and welcoming staff. I arrived to find a nice, wrapped present on my bed as it was December 5th. This was a very nice touch. When in Utrecht, I would stay again at the court hotel.
Great location in the old town near the Dom tower. The staff are warm, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The bar has a lovely ambience and fantastic outside courtyard with seating. On the negative..The toilet didn’t flush very well throughout our stay, sometimes emitting sporadic unpleasant odours into the room. One of the huge windows kept bursting open during a storm. We reported these issues to reception on check out and I have every confidence they will be attended to.
Only thing i would report its the doors that cannot be shut without making noise. Staff is really good, always smiling and willing to give advice or help. Very good fresh orange juice for breakfest. Very well located.
On the positive side: Right in the center of Utrecht, spacious rooms, large bed, clean rooms, good restaurant On the not-do-great side: A bit aged, small bathroom sink, nowhere to put toiletries, a bit worn out towels, no tissue, no mini bar
Helpful staff, good bar and breakfast and brilliant location, but the nights are very noisy if your room is facing the main street, even during the week. Was awoken multiple times by shouting and celebration on a Thursday night.
If you're in Utrecht for a hen/stag weekend, or a gig, or you can sleep through an air raid, then I would fully recommend this hotel. If you were blessed with the gift of hearing, I'd think twice. This is a well decorated hotel with clean, well equipped rooms and high ceilings. Plus the staff are friendly. But you will struggle to get to sleep before midnight on a Friday and Saturday night as the hotel often has functions with loud thumping music in the basement, where the sound and heavy bass travels up through the hotel - put it this way, we were on floor 3 and we could still hear it. I would have definitely scored this hotel a 4, maybe a 5, but the management really needs to so something about the noise - and I'm not the only person to point this out judging by the reviews. Paying guests come to hotels to sleep...so far as I'm aware, this is the main purpose of a hotel. I did ask reception staff whether they could move us to a high room away from the noise ...to be told that we were already at the highest floor 😑. The reception staff were very friendly and professional but I was taken aback when I was offered ear plugs. If you have to hand ear plugs out to your guests, in a hotel, then you should really think twice about having a party in the basement. MESSAGE TO MANAGEMENT - Please please please invest some money in sound proofing and insulation of the basement so guests do not suffer.…
Great hotel within 30 seconds walk from the centre, yet on a relatively quiet road. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished, and the hotel is in a very safe area (like most of Utrecht, which is a fantastic city all round). I would highly recommend. Perfect!
