As they are near the Keukenhof gardens they have somewhat of a captive market. Staff were pleasant. The carpet in our bedroom was worn and parts of the hotel looked shabby. We had a nice dinner but breakfast was poor value.

Stayed in Lisse overnight to head to Keukenhof Gardens. Took the Eurostar from London to Schiphol (Amsterdam airport). Easy trip - was able to get the 361 bus from Schiphol Lisse for about 6 euros. De Nachtegaal was about a 5 - 10 min walk from the bus stop. Very easy. B&B was small - maybe 5 rooms? Gentleman that...

Having the need to stay not too far from Amsterdam and still be near enough from Aalphen an der Rijin where my friends live, I chose this hotel because it provides an indoor pool which is seldom to find in the city centre accommodations unless one is willing to pay the expensive rate of a luxury hotel offering such amenity....

We've stayed here 3 times over the past 3 years - first time it was fine - pretty good - and really handy if you want to visit the impossibly marvellous Keukenhof gardens - 15 minutes walk - but this year (2014) it very much felt like a place that the management/owners had decided to run down, absolutely not invest...

Horrific hotel. Cannot understand why they have 4 stars, doesn't deserve 1. The hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. The place actually was awful. The carpets were old, smelly, and broken. The lift hardly worked. The food was disgusting. The casino was a joke. This is not a hotel, it is like one of those old motels in an...

I visited this " hotel" by the misfortune of being transferred from the Hotel De Duif with my sister after being told that hotel was overbooked ( see my review). This isolated establishment is not worthy of the title hotel but is a second rate motel at best. See my sisters true review - tripsme. I you are ever offered...

We spent three nights here as a base for visiting the local area and Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel must be the closest to the famous gardens. Walking there takes 15 minutes (driving 3 minutes). Walking into the delightful town of Lisse takes 20 minutes. There is ample parking at the hotel. We ate in the restaurant and the food was...

On December 12, 2013 (!!) we booked two rooms at the front on the floor above (US second floor, UK first floor), and received a confirmation, for our 90 yo uncle who was specially coming from sunny South California to see the yearly Flower Parade on May 3rd, 2014, as this was the only hotel on the route. When we...

We were unfortunate enough to be transferred here by Hotel de Duif due to overbooking. Were informed it was a 4 star hotel and a good location near to Keukenhof. Locationwise took about 20 mins to walk to Keukenhof which was ok but not the best walk down the main road. Hotel is more like a motel. Large sign advertising...

This place "stunk". Seriously. First, we followed the large road sign that said Hotel Casino. It took us to the back of the hotel. That was a real eye opener. Not a pretty site. Are people living back there? Once we drove around, we could see that we were supposed to pass the hotel, turn right, and then come in...
