This is a hotel that doesn't deserve 4 stars. It is old and loud, be prepared to hear the footsteps of your above neighbours. The airco can't be left on during night, too noisy. The beds are not the most comfortable ones. The worst part is that the curtains do not obscure the room, somebody has been cheesy with the...

Easy to find. Stayed here as part of cycle tour. Excellent breakfast and lovely decor in hotel. Easy to find and great service. Close to all attractions with many great places to eat and drink within easy walking distance.

Stayed here 3 nights with my bicycle group. Rooms very clean and comfortable, free wifi, delicious breakfast spread. The staff was pleasant and tried to help us with restaurant and site seeing suggestions. Located right across from the train station, so convenient to Amsterdam. The town of Haarlem is definitely worth a day or more visit.

Some close friends and I stayed at the Lion D'Or between June 9th and June 13th. We had a great visit. Mr. F. Hoffman and his staff run a tight ship. The rooms were very clean , with lots of space. The location of the train station makes it ideal for visiting all the surrounding cities.

A group of four of us had an overnight stay at this hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and the breakfast was fine, very close to railway station. Would gladly recommend this hotel.

Dear Mick, Thank you for your kind review. it is good to read you and your friends enjoyed your 1 night stay in one of our bigger rooms that can accommodate 4 persons. We hope that your cycling trip that day was a good one despite the weather, and that the ferry crossed the canal as i promised:)

This Golden Tulip location is no frills - the rooms are very basic, with no decorations, very little color and few extras. That being said though, the hotel is perfect for exploring Haarlem, and was clean and comfortable. It is right across the street from the train station and bus stop, which was wonderfully easy for coming and going and...

This is the most conveniently located hotel if traveling by train or bus. My husband and I stayed here at the beginning and end of our month long Europe trip during April and May. I had emailed the hotel to ask if we could have an early checkin, as we were arriving from the US on a red eye flight...

I led a group of 22 people on holiday in the Netherlands. This hotel was our base for the week. It is in a great location, in the attractive city of Haarlem. It is conveniently near the railway and bus stations but quiet. There is a direct rail and bus connection to the airport from outside the hotel. The accommodation...

This hotel is right in the centre of Haarlem next to the main train and bus station. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and helpful staff. There is a public garage opposite the hotel which was quite safe. The hotel is walking distance from the historical centre where you will find a lot of cafes and restaurants. All in all a good...

A really comfy bed and well appointed room, in a lovely, homely feel hotel. Centrally placed within the heart of Haarlem and easy walking distance to great restuarants and bars. Extremely helpful and friendly staff who made me very welcome. Breakfast was great. Very Dutch so don't expect a full English, but you can cook your own eggs and toast...
