Just returned from a fab long weekend. Stayed in a basement room, yes they are not huge but perfectly adequate for our needs. Staff brilliant and so friendly and helpful... breakfast lovely and plentiful. Bar prices on a par with the rest of the city (not cheap!!). The only negative would be no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but...

Just slightly of the beaten track, only minutes away from bustling Utrechtsestraat for fashion shopping, with coolest music store, Concerto, in Amsterdam! Also only few minutes walk from the Pijp market, a must visit, and many trendy restaurants. Tram stops in front of the door, going 2 directions into Amsterdam centre. Opposite the street is a typical Amsterdam bar, for...

Came here with my boyfriend for a long weekend away. Amsterdam is massive so no matter where you stay your more than likely going to need to travel around to see everything. This place was great value for money, and right next to a frequent tram straight into the city. The rooms where small, but expected, it was comfortable and...

So wanted to give this hotel full marks but just one thing let it down. Firstly the positives: Friendly staff and I mean really friendly. Made you feel so welcome. Room and bathroom small but enough room to get around - clean, nice decor Fantastic shower The most comfiest beds ever. Slept so well. Continental breakfast was great. Nice bar...

Me and my boyfriend arrived for a 3 night stay for my birthday. Booked through travel republic (never again) who at an extra cost sold us a room which wasn't advertised as a "basement" room which we did not want. When we arrived they had booked us into the cheaper basement room. The hotel staff were very helpful (especially Agnes)...

Had a lovely stay! The staff were lovely and helpful, the rooms were a nice size and well looked after. The breakfast was good and a nice selection. The hotel staff looked after our bags before check in and when we checked out. They also offer a late check out service which worked out perfectly for us. Will be visiting...

The staff started to know our faces after a day which was a really nice and friendly touch. We stayed in a superior room after looking at the reviews on here in regards to too...

The location of the hotel is by far the best part of it. It has a tram stop right outside and one right across the road. It's walking distance from a few fun places and squares including the red light district. However the rooms are tiny. We had a superior room and yet it was literally a bed, a desk...

Thank you for your review! The only thing we don't understand is the comment about the hazelnut spread....you're not a fan???? ;) You know the Dutch have a saying*: "One man's hazelnut spread is another man's treasure." See you again soon! (* This is not true.)

I stayed in one of the basement rooms & was slightly trepidatious reading the very mixed reviews of the basement rooms so was relieved to find I had nothing to worry about ! I was only there for one night, wasnt spending much time in the room & it was v good value. The room was small but perfect for...

Nice hotel, ideal location - a number 4 tram stops outside hotel - in centre within 10 minutes! Within walking distance of the Heineken Experience(not to be missed). Staff extremely helpful & friendly. Rooms very small but clean, compact and a brilliant shower. Good breakfast selection and a welcoming bar/lounge area. Only one minor niggle - a 330ml bottle of...

Thanks for your review, and we're passing your feedback on to the bar! Hope that we can welcome you back one day. (Also, a related sidenote: water in Amsterdam is completely potable and pretty tasty, so next time just ask us to refill your water bottle. Then it's free!)
