Stayed in Sept 09, room felt dirty and badly kept, no lid on the bin (with stuff still inside), sheets with holes in them (not sure they have been cleaned since last guests) and a strong smell of stale cigarettes. Granted a good location but really I'd have rather paid double and got a clean room with clean sheets. Just...

Expensive (155€ for double!!), no breakfast, unkept, I would avoid at all costs, just not a bed and breakfast, holes in sheets, and cheap materials, uncomfortable beds

On check in we got told of extra costs - tourist fee and key deposit which was never disclosed to us. We were given a twin room when we had paid for a double room. I had confirmed our room booking 3 times prior to arriving and I was told that yes we would have 1 x triple and 1...

Very nice place. Staff were funny, nice and flexible. We didn't have any problems and did Not see any mice (some say there have been mice). Location was perfect, but at first we had to search the place little while. Room was neat. Minibar was convenient. They provided coffee and tea generously.

If you are on a budget and want a no frills place where you can just go, sleep and get ready to see amsterdam the next day, this hotel pretty much fits the bill. It's not a hotel btw, not even a bed and breakfast since they dont provide breakfast. They call it a guest house. The room was nice...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
