Stayed for 3 nights, about what you would expect for the price and the location is spot on, 5 minutes from the train station and about 10 minutes from the weird and wonderful stuff. If you're a smoker and aren't worried about where you sleep this is ideal.

Your mostly paying for the location here it's very easy to get too from dam station and not too far away from where you want to be. I wouldn't bring the misses here she'd ring my neck!!! the room was dirty. when we arrived our room was full of rubbish and dirty towels which we put in the hall way...

Room wasn't great although didn't expect much after reading some of the reviews. It may have just been some of the rooms though as we saw a room on our floor that looked five times better. So good it looked like a completely different hotel, It even had a view. Our view from our only window was pipes and a...

Noisy and cold room, with a permanent bad smell from the bathroom's pipes, we thought. Noisy because the windows were very big, leading to the main road with a lot of traffic and noisy partywanderers at night. Besides, they didn't close well and that's the same reason why it was cold. However, there was heating in the room, but it...

Tiny, poky room at top of perilously steep flight of stairs (a real hazard if you have a heavy suitcase - there's no lift and no assistance available). Ancient, frayed and none-too-clean carpet. Grubby paintwork. Unbearably hot: no aircon, of course, but also impossible to leave window open overnight, as it opened onto a ledge also accessible from the neighbouring...

Strategic location and walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal station. Rooms are clean despite slightly small. However the bathroom was spacious and new with a nice shower. Breakfast was the same everyday but good portion.

The hotel is perfect for young couples or individuals looking for a cheap place to stay in Amsterdam! The location is unbeatable, less then 5 mins to the Dam square and other attraction. The room was clean, comfortable beds and an overall great value for money. Would absolutely stay there again!

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

“i think you should ask for a lower appurtenant but if u dont care to go up 3 floors so it dose not meter i think the upper apartment are more clean? תבקשו חדר בקומה נמוכה כי זה סיוט המדרגות באמטרדם עם המזוודות , אבל אם לא אכפת לכם אז אני חושב שהחדרים בקומות העליונות יותר נקיים”
