How is this infested dump allowed to stay open??? I just ran from d kip I didn't even wait for my 10€ deposit back for the key! After spending 3 disgusting nights there I couldn't spend a second longer I just ran and booked into a hotel up d road! I felt dirty coming out of shower and not to...

I booked this hostel before reading any reviews. I really wanted to cancel my room but would lose my money. My friends and I went ahead with our booking. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly woman on reception. Our opinions of the place soon changed when a male member of staff decided to touch one of my friends...

This place is ridiculous second to none. But it's cheap so I wouldn't usually be that fussed. But they are infested with bedbugs!!!! Bed bugs will get in your clothes and luggage and come home with you! It's not worth the hassle guys! Pay £10 extra and avoid infesting you're home and family when you return.

This hotel was honestly horrible. There is a strong smell of urine as soon as you enter the building. The owner was very rude and was telling us we didn't have a reservation even though we could see our name on the sheet. There are 2 toilets and showers between 11 rooms of people making it very hard to shower...

There were specks of blood on the pillow case, bed bugs, floor was filthy, bathroom was very unhygienic, poor service overall, and over priced. I would not advocate staying at Hotel Tamara if you don't like any of things I stated above. Also, don't be fooled by the title hotel, it's a poorly ran hostel.

Before I get to the bed bugs, I'll start from the beginning! We were given a double and a single bed after the hotel advertising all single beds (room 5). The beds were not comfortable at all. The mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. One mattress was too big for the base and it kept sliding off. We were only given...

Looked at the hotel without seeing tge reviews. Boy I should have not done that. This place was a stinker! The only plus side was thatbit was a 5 min walk to the train station. But if you like filth and claustrophobia, this is your place to stay! The bathrooms where wonderful. Toilet covered in caked on crap and mold...

I had read the bad reviews about, the miserable old man who owns it and the state of the place. To be honest on a budget this hotel was good. Yeah ok my towel had holes in it but could have got a better one if i asked, but it was usable and smelt clean and washed. The beds where...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
