On three occasions during our 2 night stay the fire alarms went off. Twice whilst we were asleep, caused apparently by either steam from showers or people smoking in rooms. There are no notices in rooms advising you to keep bathroom door closed while showering. A small thing but it would have a huge impact. Hotel was well managed clean...

It took some finding, after wasting an hour of our precious 2 days at the information desk at central Stn but we were pleasantly surprised when we did eventually find it, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and provided everything we needed and nothing more. Due to the nature of the buildings in 'Dam...

We had a wonderful stay in Amsterdam in this hotel, May 2012. The hotel had a wonderful lady in the reception who helped make our stay just perfect. She had a lot of tips of where to go and what to see, and helped us with the arrangements. If you ever read this - Thank you!. The hotel is located within...

Nice and reasonably priced hotel in a quiet area. Note the 5% extra city tax added to the room price, paid upon arrival. This was something that wasn’t made clear when booking the hotel so it caught us by surprise. The room was poorly insulated so we could hear the lift, people walking in the corridor and talking in the...

I and my wife stayed in the All Seasons for four nights during the Carnival break in February. I chose it because of its belonging to the Accor group, which I find quite dependable and good value for money. From the airport we took the Connexion shuttle, which for some strange reason, cannot pick you up at the same hotel...

I booked this room in march 2012, sadly I did not read trip advisor prior reviews, trusting that as the hotel is part of the ACCOR group (sofitel and co), this hotel would be clean. What a mistake!!! they are infested with bed bugs! The management is totally irresponsible and is renting the rooms although completely aware of the problem....

,Excellent location for Trams into centre Amsterdam. Clean Hotel, Linen changed Daily. Strange Bedroom layout, watch out for high step into Bath.Adequate Breakfast if somewhat repetative.Avoid rooms on same floor as reception and below ground level we did experience one sleepless night because of noise. We would stay here again but request rooms on higher floors.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
