We had family room for 2 adult and 2 children. Room was located on the level -1, window was faced to the inner yard. The yard was full of cars, they were moving in and out continuously, especially early in the morning. Right opposite the window there was a smoking place for the staff, every second minute there were 2-3...

We stayed here one night on a 24 hour layover. We got a great night sleep. The breakfast was very diversified and it was great to have it included in the costs. I wouldn't mind staying here again, if we go to Amsterdam again. The location was not far out of the way. However the trams were confusing from Central...

So we arrived on a Friday and told no you cannot park in their car park, park at multistory back of the Heineken experience, so upon registering assign a room on the top floor, took lift up and had a small siesta for an hour as long drive. Called lift as on -1 no lift arrived, descend 4 flights of...

When we travelled to Amsterdam, we had a budget limit and so chose the Seasons Hotel (now known as the Ibis City Styles Hotel). It is about 3.3km from Amsterdam Central station (an easy walk). It is also right near th tram line (number 4 & 25) which will take you straight into the city centre in about 10 mins...

I lost my travel partner at the last minute last summer and found myself in Amsterdam alone without a place to stay. I spotted a lodging kiosk at the airport and inquired. I chose Styles Amsterdam for the location and modest price for a solo traveler. It was so new that the shuttle drivers couldn't figure out where Ibis Styles...

Stayed for a weekend. Fourth floor room, Room clean enough but extremely hot even with radiator off. Unable to leave window open due to freezing outside. Lift was out fo order for my entire stay and four floors of really narrow spiral stairs was both hard to manage and very tiring, I was out of breath every time. Staff were...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
