I loved it.. The apartment they gave us was right next to canal, close to central station.. It was clean charming and entire apartment for us, got an experience of staying in the amsterdam houses you see in pictures near the canal.. . The person...More
So close to the centre of town and so reasonably priced! The owners are lovely! This was a very good find as accom can be quite overpriced and overrated in amsterdam.

Basic room located directly above the shop which was adequate for my visit. The best thing about the room is its location; it is close to Anne Frank's house and lots of charming shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. It is not located in the centre...More

The guesthouse wasn't what I expected, it's an apartment rented by the guesthouse, very cute, clean, 10 minutes from the station, half hour walk or 9 euro cab to van gogh museum/central square. Where the guesthouse was located its gives a perfect opportunity to live...More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
We just booked a "Double Room" at TrueLove. Just curious what we should expect. The pictures look cool but not sure what we would get staying in. Is there a certain room we should request? We will be staying in Late September.

I emailed the guest house after booking to ask what room I was allocated, then I searched for that address on Google Maps. We went in September 2014 and we were booked in "Herengracht 57" which had a great central location, just a 2 minute walk from Dam Square. The room itself was brilliant for myself and partner (both 27), it wasn't huge but accommodated our needs perfectly (room included nice double bed, tv, fridge, small dining table/chairs, free wifi, space to keep your belongings... and also had private bathroom). We were basically staying in our own little apartment and felt like locals! There wasn't a reception desk with room service but we didn't need any of that (the guest house owners are just a phone call away but we had no need to ring them). Next time we go we'll be asking to stay in Herengracht 57 again! Enjoy your holiday :-)
