4 friends and I stayed here 1st to 5th October in a large dorm. Bunk beds were small and unstable. Room was dirty and bathroom needed repairing. Staff were unfriendly and not helpful. Cool area with good bars nearby, find a different hostel to stay at though!

i can't believe that how this hostel got certificate to host anyone. The room given us was so small ,i can't even stretch my hands to both sides, and it was so dirty ,bedspread was not refreshed.in addition to that,we were also in trouble with dirty toilet. So,i think it's better to stay in public than staying here.also, don't forget to have breakfast... DO NOT STAY HERE. I got scammed out of nearly 50 euros on a technicality after being lied to upfront by the staff. The manager did not care, nor would he even speak with me when I asked to talk with him until I called him a third time. This resulted in him calling me a small child and hanging... More

I haven't see another worse hostel as like. Stuffs are very very rude. Rooms are very small, you can't breathe. Internet connection is very weak and ıt lost the connection often. "Free" breakfast is terrible, they put the bowl of jams on tables. Bathroom and toilets are horrible. There isn't soap even. Don't come here !

The hostel looks very nice from the outside, but when you step into the reception you realise that is an untidy place. The rooms were very dirty, the beds untidy, the sheets had disgusting stains (you know what I'm trying to say) and the en-suite bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks! It is very expensive for the... More

Dirty floor, dirty quilt, there was no hot water and the toilet was not cleaned. When we said something about it the staff was very rude and impolite. I'm never going back to this drity hotel. The only positive was the air conditioning, which was nog broken or dirty.

Same thing as one of the reviews below. As soon as we got there we saw the inch wide stairs the tiny rooms and the dirty bathroom and asked to cancel. Sorry you just paid can't give you cash back. We were told sorry this is a hostel; hostels are like that. Also they don't have a system of assigning... More

I booked to stay here 5 nights, although as soon as I arrived I asked to cancel the last 3 (I would have cancelled all and left but there was no where else to go). They do have free breakfast, although it is just white bread and jam or peanut butter. They don't appear to have any walking tours or... More

Its a good place, average and nothing fancy. If you want to have a god night rest the beds are comfortable and theres a common kitchen downstairs. A litlle expensive for having a no so good quality but i would go back. The area is really nice.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
