We stayed at Eric's Prinsengracht canal house for a long weekend in August. Eric was extremely welcoming and we were able to make ourselves at home very quickly. The view out over Prinsengracht was one of the highlights, particularly enjoying the hustle and bustle of canal boats. As mentioned by other reviewers the stairs are extremely steep and fairly narrow...

Eric's Prinsengracht canal house is the best choice we made in Amsterdam. Eric greeted us at the door, helped us upstairs with our bags (necessary) and showed us what's around the neighbourhood, then left us to enjoy this two story apartment all to ourselves. Don't let the name fool you, this is not your North American style serviced B&B. You...

It is a little annoying that we were given only a few days notice that the outside of the building was being renovated whilst we were there.the balcony, and canal view obscured ,by scaffolding.still Eric was good enough to give us a discount, The only other complaint , and I am surprised no one has commented on this before is you...

The place is located perfectly in Amsterdam. Close to all things in Jordaan, and easily walkable to all of the desired sites. Jordaan is a beautiful part of Amsterdam and great restaurants close by. The apartment is well furnished, and very hip, cool looking, that my teenage daughters appreciated. Eric was waiting for us when we arrived. Will return here...

Eric's canal apartment provided a comfortable home away from home. While the apartment is open to the lower level (does not have it's own entrance), it felt very private and Eric provided supplies for breakfast which we could enjoy at our convenience. As mentioned by others, the stairs are very steep, so not appropriate for those with mobility issues. The...

The canal house is so full of character overlooking the canal and just a fantastic Amsterdam experience. Why pay to stay in a small Amsterdam hotel room when you can enjoy the duplex at Eric's. Eric is also a very attentive host and will do all that he can to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Read all the...

My friend and I stayed here and truly enjoyed ourselves. This is a historic canal house in a great location. Easy to walk anywhere or take public transportation. Eric was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, places to visit and helping us figure out transportation. He was available, but not obstrusive. The stairs are very steep, but I found them to be...

I stayed for a week in the canal apartment on Prinsengracht. It has a great view of the canals. While I would eat my breakfast or read, I liked looking out the window and seeing the boats and people go by. Shopping and nightlife were a very close walk. The tram stop was also convenient when I didn't feel like...
