We recently stayed at this B&B for 3 nights and had the most fabulous time. There were 3 of us and the 2 rooms were huge and we had breakfast in one of the rooms. Breakfast was served at our room and it was delicious. My daughter is gluten-free and Sonny specifically bought some gluten-free crackers for her breakfast. Sonny...

Four of us (husband, daughter, grandson and I) stayed for four nights at this lovely b&b in July and regretted we could not have stayed longer. The b & b is like a private apartment consisting of a huge studio room with kitchenette and balcony, a second double bedroom, bathroom and toilet, in a 19th century house. The rooms are...

This bed and breakfast is great! The room was huge, not far away from the center of Amsterdam. The owner was reallly nice and always available. Breakfast was amazing and it represented the perfect way to start another day. Bed and bathroom were perfect! I reallly suggest this place to stay in this beautiful city.

This place was great to stay at. I stayed in 2003. At the time there was only one room available, the other was under construction. The owners were very helpful with directions on how to get to the B&B and how to get around the area. It's a pretty quiet area but close to the subway system which doesn't take...

If you are going to Amsterdam, this is a perfect place to stay. If you are going to attend a seminar at the university, this is absolutely the place to stay. You are so close to the campus, in a really nice neighborhood with nice restaurants . You have an entire apartment fully equipped and the best breakfast in town!...

We adore Amsterdam, and this was around the 12th visit from my partner and I. We have slept in nice hotels, not so nice hotels, some Bed and Breakfasts, all unique and enjoyable in their own way, however, Dumas and Considine bed and breakfast was by FAR the very best. In true Amsterdam style it has a steep staircase, which...

Almost a year after visiting Amsterdam, i bring to my mind beautiful pictures and memories from my stay in Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast. The fresh tulips in our room, the delightful breakfast , the friendliness of the host and the beautiful room itself made our stay unforgettable!

September 4 to 6, 2009. We spent a wonderful weekend in Amsterdam at the Dumas and Considine Bed and Breakfast in Amsterdam. We truly appreciated the comfort, peace and quiet, cleanliness and coziness of this B&B. We had not stayed there previously, so of course we didn’t know how it would be – but as soon as we met Kevin...

If you want to feel like an Amsterdam local, stay here. The B & B is in a historic Amsterdam town house with the usual steep staircase. The suite is located on the second floor. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood on leafy Roetersstraat right in the city center with good connections to tram and subway. The spacious, bright...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
