The hotel has extremely thing walls and floors and very noisy guests, at least when we stayed there.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while we were in Amsterdam. The easy and cheap bike rentals alone made it worth every penny, but the awesome staff set it above the rest (especially my man Pedro!!).
Plus there's a 24 hour bar...More
This about the tenth time I've visited amsterdam and in comparison to my other lodgings, this cute little hotel is definitely the most charming. I'm no gamer but it is certainly impressive you can take any comic you wish to read, order and play vintage...More

Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll
find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.

TAXI TO OR FROM THE AIRPORT: DON'T BE AN ASSH*&E AND GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. IF THE DRIVER DOES NOT AGREE ON A MAX OF 40€ FROM SCHIPOL TO THE HOTEL OR THE CITY - DO NOT TAKE THAT TAXI. 37€ IS THE PRICE - THAT IS WHAT IT IS AND DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENTLY.
Print these directions because they are as spot on as you are going to get!
Go to the subterrain where the train platforms are 1 floor under the main lobby of the airport. There you can take the train to “Amsterdam Centraal”. Direct or with some stops don't matter, Central is Central.
Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal):
Take tram 4 (located outside the main entrance) and get off at the stop ”Ceintuurbaan”, qat the light in front of you take a right on the street “Ceintuurbaan”. After 100m you will see the Sarphatipark on the right and Aalborg on the left. Big sign, if you miss it, we know a good optometrist.
We can arrange a taxi to meet you at the arrivals hall for 47euro or to take you from Aalborg to the airport for 37euro. We can even put your name on that sign. Email us to arrange it.
If you drive in, there is public parking on the street for a fee of 34€/day, but make sure to ask us where exactly so you don't get towed. Or we can call a car valet to come pick up your baby, and leave her nice an safe in a garage. Fees can be checked at the reception.
Hope to see you soon.

The hotel has no parking and parking in Amsterdam is phenomenally expensive (around 25-30 euros per day depending on where). Many people"in the know" park in villages outside and get the train in.... It's really an eternal Amsterdam hassle and nightmare, I am sorry to say. You cld try parking at the RAI conference center... A car in Amsterdam is a liability anyway! Trams are good..
