A wonderful hospitable stay. The rooms are large and generous as are the bathrooms. The breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble. Angelot went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to share information

The Crown B&B was really excellent! The host is a really great and kind guy. The rooms are very cozy, there are even a coffee machine, a water boiler/ tea bags and a fridge with water and juice in the room. The bathroom is also big enough with shower gel, a hair dryer and many towels. The highlight was the...

We stayed here for 3 nights as a present for my boyfriend's birthday. We had the best of time. Very spacious and comfortable room, great host who goes out of his way to help. The juccuzi made our stay very luxuarious. Some mornings we found it hard to leave as the room was so cosy. The location is great, short...

Two lovely rooms in a fab building which is very central. Angelo is helpful and friendly, it has a bit of style and is an easy walk from the station. The kitchen is lovely - everything is provided so you make your own breakfast. Not recommended for older couples due to the stairs. Otherwise lovely. Try the nearby Thai restaurant.

We stayed one night in Amsterdam at the Crown B & B. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Do take heed from all the reviews that the stairs are very steep and narrow and getting large bags (we were travelling for 4 weeks) up and down can be difficult. Without Angelo's help with the bags we would have really...

Cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed for three nights and it felt like home from the moment we arrived. Angelo is absolutely lovely and was always offering to help with luggage and sightseeing recommendations. Our room was the deluxe room and the huge jacuzzi bath is exactly what you need after wandering around the city all day long. It...

My wife and i decided to do a thorough visit to our capital city Amsterdam. After much considerations we opted for a B&B instead of a hotel. We made a last-minute reservation at this B&B. The host (Angelo) was very polite and helpful. The B&B has two rooms available and these are very specious and well maintained. The room was...

PROS: STAFF...The owner of this B&B was away on holidays but the young man in charge, Zeus, was an excellent host/coordinator etc. HISTORIC CHARACTER & CENTRAL LOCATION - if coming via train get directions from B&B owner (maps at station aren't detailed enough) as it's easier to walk than get a taxi; we took the tram to the museum area...

This was one of the places we have stayed. Angelo was amazing host super helpful as it was our first visit to Amsterdam , giving us maps advice on where to visit great places to eat. The hotel itself is in a perfect location close to every thing( we walked every where) but also on many tram lines also. The...

After our reservation from booking.com we instantly received an email from Angelo with VERY CLEAR directions on how to get to the bed & breakfast. DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY THE steep stairs. For a truly Dutch home feel stay, this is the go to place. We arrived at the bed and breakfast early and Angelo welcomed us warmly...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
