Set in a protected 17th century house in the heart of old Amsterdam, the Weavery offers the unique character and style of a boutique hotel, with the personal service and homey comfort of a family run bed & breakfast."Gezelligheid" (roughly translated it means cozy and pleasant) we keep top of mind at the Weavery. Another key characteristic is independence. Each room is fully self-contained, with private bath and w/c, separate entrance and kitchenette. Our charming rooms feel like a home away from home to the independent minded traveler, who likes to move at his own pace. In short, we designed the Weavery to feel more like a pied-à-terre than a hotel or traditional bed & breakfast. The Weavery is as perfectly located as can be imagined. We are just 5 minutes walk from the museum square and a short stroll from all the big theaters. All the main shopping areas like Leidestraat, the 9 Streets and PC Hooftstraat are just around the corner and so are many lovely cafes and restaurants. Our rooms offer - Queen size beds- Ensuite bathrooms with bath/rain-shower and W/C- Bathrobes- Rituals bathroom amenities- Hairdryer- Kitchenette with double cook plate, microwave, dishwasher and fridge- Coffee/tea making facilities- Lounge corner- Flatscreen TV- Wireless Internet- Laptop Safe- ipod docking stationWe have two rooms: The Silk room which is located on the lower ground level and sleeps up to 3 people and the Suite, located on the 2nd floor, which has its own private roof terrace and sleeps up to 4 people.

Absolutely brilliant stay at the Weavery. Bettina was an excellent host, on hand for any questions and giving us some superb recommendations. We followed all of her recommendations for restaurants and they were spot on. Buffet van Odette around the corner was a lovely place for our first dinner, and De Waaghals was perfect for my vegan friend. The house itself is only a 2 minute walk from the station and the exterior is like every gorgeous black and white House you’ve ever pinned. We stayed in the suite and had the extra bed on the mezzanine. The room itself is lovely and it made the perfect base. Be warned that the original stairs are VERY steep (I loved them) so if you have mobility problems then it’s probably not the best place, but for everyone else - what are you waiting for… Book!

We absolutely loved our brief stay at The Weavery. We stayed on the top floor with the private patio (perfect place to read), and the room and furnishings were very charming. Bettina was a lovely host and very helpful and kind, and we will be back to stay when in Amsterdam.

Just completed our fourth stay at The Weavery since 2015. Fabulous as always and Bettina is the ultimate host. This was our first time staying in the Suite which was outstanding. Very spacious apartment with a walkout deck looking over the courtyard. Daily room service was exceptional. We would not stay anywhere else in Amsterdam. Looking forward to our next visit! Bettina - thank you for another outstanding stay in Amsterdam - you make it easy and delightful!

Have stayed here 5 times in the last few years and cannot fault the hosts or the accommodation. It is beyond anything the finest hotels can offer. Not only is it comfortable, beautifully decorated and completely spotless with fine toiletries; Bettina and Driss offer great tips on where to visit. Being a minute from the Metro, Cafe de wettering, buffet van Oddete, back to black and many brown bars there is no need to get caught up in touristy areas as there is so much more to explore from this great location.

I've stayed in fancier rooms, I've stayed in more expensive rooms, but I've never stayed in a better room. The striking architectural elements, the cozy terrace, the decor that looks effortlessly stylish but isn't, the thoughtful and usable space...all contributed to a wonderful stay. Bettina was kind and accommodating, and the location is quiet yet close to plenty of lively areas. I didn't want to leave.

The most charming historical home, we stayed in the suite and adored the private terrace- enjoyed some bubbly and cheese- delightful way to relax after exploring the city. The host Bettina was SO gracious and helpful, took the time to answer questions and give us some tips for walking around the city. We would certainly return!

My father and I throughly enjoyed our stay at The Weavery. Driss was a gracious host and we were very comfortable there. Steep Amsterdam canal house stairs lead up to a beautifully furnished loft with original beams under a peaked roof. There's a handy loft bed with a pull-down ladder, and a lovely patio on the back with a view of the gardens between the houses. Opening the windows on both sides let in a lovely cool cross breeze; there was also an AC but we didn't use it.

Centrally located on a quiet residential street. Silk room has a private entrance with a nice entry way. Beautifully decorated and spacious. Beds and chairs were comfortable as well. Bettina met us and introduced us to her B&B and the area with champagne and home made banana bread. She is so friendly and an excellent communicator. We highly recommend!

The Weavery is a lovely surprise in the best location in Amsterdam for everyone, but specially for those of us who deem ourselves as art lovers; right in the center of the Art District, at barely 10 mins walk from the Museums Quarter and very close to great Galleries and Antique Shops. We stood for two nights at the Silk Room which is as much charming as comfortable. Great bathroom with wonderful amenities. The place emanates care and love for making things in the most respectful way both for the environment and for the guests. On top of everything, we were literally pampered by Bettina. This is definitely our place in Amsterdam forever. I couldn't recommend it more.

What a wonderful treat it was for my husband and I to enjoy a special break in Amsterdam and be lucky enough to be able to stay at 'The Weavery' - The room which felt like a mini apartment was Gorgeous, Beautifully styled with a bohemian aesthetic with very thoughtful and personal touches that any traveller would need from optional breakfast taken in the privacy of your room at a time to suit you (Take the option!) to having the convenience of a mini kitchenette with fruit, teas, a nespresso maker, fridge containing a lovely home made cake to welcome us - I could go on. Bettina is the perfect host - she is there when you need her for any advice or recommendations and is otherwise unobtrusive. Her lovely husband Driss is also lovely and we bought some cushions, rug and bedspread from their beautiful store close by which has been set up in order to enable meaningful employment for the local women of the village where Driss was born in Morocco. The Weavery is very well located and within a 5-10 minute walk of all the main museums and we walked everywhere with ease. Yet, it is tucked away down a quiet street. If you are seeking a home from home, away from the generic 'Big' hotel experience then I recommend The Weavery - the experience will enrich your stay in Amsterdam. Next time, we will be back and trying to nab at spot in 'The Suite' which is usually fully booked.
