My impression when choosing where to stay in Amsterdam was that there weren't many mid-range options for when you just want a comfortable place to rest when you plan on staying out all day exploring the city and therefore do not need a high end hotel like you would choose in other types of destinations. Then we found the Espresso,...

Staying in Espresso hotel is very comfortable. Room is clean, neat and relatively new. It is not far from bus stop for airport shuttle, close to museums and Amsterdam centraal. Local and foreign foods can be found nearby (pizza, Asian food, locals). Free wifi, coffee. Luggage keeper is free. Keukenhoff and museum tickets can be bought in the reception.

We just finished an 8 night stay at this hotel and would definitely return. The location is close to the tram line, Albert Heijn grocery store and restaurants, as well as night life. The rooms were small but adequate, very clean and the hotel staff was welcoming. Breakfasts are delicious and include meats, cheeses, yogurt, tomatoes and cukes, breads and...

Ideally located and close to the tram lines this hotel is perfect for a short break in this lovely city. Central nightlife hub is only a 3 minute walk but far enough away for a quiet nights sleep. Rooms are small but very clean and likewise the bathroom. Excellent shower and no noise could be heard through the walls. Free...

My boyfriend and I spent part of our spring break in Amsterdam and stayed at this hotel. It was wonderful! The front desk was helpful with planning our day, getting tickets to attractions, printing out our train tickets, and calling us a taxi. The rooms are small but that is standard for being so close to the main area of...

Me and my fiancé stayed here 4 nights, the staff were very friendly and very informative. We stayed in a double room , it was a little small but was just what we needed, the breakfast was ok, not a lot of choice but very happy with the unlimited tea and coffee.

We stayed here for two nights in November. We got a bus from the airport and continued by tram, it was much cheaper and just as easy as a taxi. The hotel is well located in a nice area with a few restaurant and bars, a tram stop just a minute away and walking distance to the city center. The...

Apart from the fact that you cannot open your suitcase any other place than on the bed because it is so tiny we were quite happy with the location, and the cleanliness of the hotel. The beds were comfortable, the water piping hot. Free tea and really good coffee in the cosy yet modern lounge was a real bonus. The...

Stayed in the hotel from Friday till Monday last week with my boyfriend. We decided to get the bus from the airport rather than pay for a taxi, this was made very easy by using the directions on the website. We found the hotel to be clean and basic, nothing special but perfect for what we needed over the weekend....

Currently staying here and can't fault it. Clean, modern, convenient, helpful staff (Jessy in particular). Free wifi in all rooms and free tea and coffee facilities in the lobby are a bonus. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Amsterdam
