Enjoyed a 2 night stay here to see ELO in concert in celebration of my partner's birthday and had a great experience from the super-friendly welcome at check in until check out. The reception staff were extremely helpful and the birthday balloons and cocktail vouchers waiting on our bed were a lovely touch (the cocktails we had in the adjoining...

good location and would be great when the road works finish and the tram line runs outside. Very warm welcome with glass of fizz and very helpful receptionist and stylish rooms and nice downstairs area to hangout. Good powerful shower. Corridors and some decor rather dark. Would definitely return.

From arriving at the hotel and receiving a glass of bubbles, to walking into the beautiful room with a lovely view over the water to checking out the visit was faultless. We had a Sir Boutique room...

This boutique hotel has potential but still lacks in the attention to detail. Very friendly service but dark hallways and ground floor rooms are depressing. Needs a little color! Bathroom not clean enough and lacks hooks for hanging things.

We stayed at the Sir Albert for 4 nights in March. The staff are very efficient and eager to help with booking museums and trips. On arrival you have to pay a deposit on your credit card to cover any purchases you may make at the hotel, trips etc and the the tourist tax of approx €6 per night. The...

Beautiful hotel! Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Staff were lovely and the rooms were great. Location is perfect too - just a short walk to the centre of Amsterdam. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
