We stayed at the Savoy in mid August 2013 and were quite satisfied with the room. Breakfast was quite satisfactory also and the Hotel itself was about what we expected. Our only complaint really was that it was a long way out of the centre of the city but then again we did not enjoy the centre of the city...

We stayed at the SAVOY HOTEL in August 2013 for 4 nights. We booked from the hotel’s website for about € 110,00 per night including breakfast. The rooms seem to be ok, but a little bit bad maintained. The second day, we changed rooms as in the first room there were two TVs, the one did not work and the...

An overall good experience with the Savoy Hotel, despite initial hiccups. I booked with the Savoy a few months before travelling via their webiste and the cost was paid for by someone else, as it was a gift. Upon arrival we were asked to show the card by which the room was paid for, but were unable to do so...

The Savoy Hotel is well placed for business congresses taking part at the RAI congress centre; it is walking distance. That is all there is to say about this hotel. Rooms are dark, there is no fresh air (even smelly at times), and the internet is not always working. When I complained about the internet, the staff was really unfriendly...

The hotel is several steps from a tram stop with a direct connection to Amsterdam Centraal station. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. We like the room equipment and cleanliness and the breakfast choice. We recommend this place.

Had an opportunity to stay the night at the hotel. Rooms are well furnished but were a little small in size, specially when two persons are in with their luggage. Breakfast is included in the tariff and is passable. Beds are comfy. Rates could be a little cheaper as there is nothing really Four Star about the place.

we had a special rate and enjoyed our stay at the Savoy- with two caveats: our room was facing the F.-Bolstraat with two tram lines and that made for rather noisy nights... Partially responsible was a somewhat defunct window that also made the room a bit drafty- not so nice in March... The neighbourhood is nice and lively with a...

If you have a congress or festivity in the RAI or neighbourhood, this is a good hotel to stay at. Its walking distance, has nice rooms and is not Very expensive. The downside however is that it can be very noisy in the morning from the traffic and in my case (having a room on the first floor) the preparation...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
