Had an opportunity to stay the night at the hotel. Rooms are well furnished but were a little small in size, specially when two persons are in with their luggage. Breakfast is included in the tariff and is passable. Beds are comfy. Rates could be a little cheaper as there is nothing really Four Star about the place.

we had a special rate and enjoyed our stay at the Savoy- with two caveats: our room was facing the F.-Bolstraat with two tram lines and that made for rather noisy nights... Partially responsible was a somewhat defunct window that also made the room a bit drafty- not so nice in March... The neighbourhood is nice and lively with a...

If you have a congress or festivity in the RAI or neighbourhood, this is a good hotel to stay at. Its walking distance, has nice rooms and is not Very expensive. The downside however is that it can be very noisy in the morning from the traffic and in my case (having a room on the first floor) the preparation...

Good hotel & conveniently located. The standard twin room was all good, except the plumbing made strange disturbing sounds through the night. The self service through the day coffee in the lobby was a lovely idea!

Catch the Connexions shuttle from Schiphol (bus stop A7 outside terminal - pay at bus). Savoy has small rooms but quality furnishings. Breakfast is all you can eat and more - but book at front desk or you'll pay not 10 but 15 euros. Half-hour walk to the main tourist area but you can catch #25 tram from outside the...

Our travel agent booked this hotel for us. We were not impressed at all. The pictures really do not depict how bad it is. The rooms are very dark. The bathroom is tiny (only room for one person to stand) and the shower water will not stay in the shower, so the floor floods. There is a makeup mirror, but...

I stayed in this Hotel in early August 2012 with a friend in a Twin Share room. (Room 3) Although the Reception staff were lovely the room was so small we hardly had room for the two of us and our luggage. The bathroom was small but OK although the shower floor looked and smelt mouldy. The big problem I...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
