We was in the attic in a small room. No lift and a narrow stair case to go up. Room was very small 2 single beds we moved them together and under the bed had never been cleaned. The mattress was the most uncomfortable one ever in my life. And we was 45 minutes away by walk from city center.

The rooms were very small. The reception was temporarily closed, so we The have to cross the road and walk for 2 minutes to another hotel to check in. We paid 382 Euros for a double room for 3 nights, although we booked well in advance. The room was very small, the toilet was placed in the shower, that is...

The reception is not located in the hotel, so you have to cross the road and walk for 2 minutes to another hotel nearby to check in. The reception is unfortunately only open until 10pm which is not awesome. They were very helpful, so I am happy with that. Free baggage holding service after you checkout. The room is tiny,...

To start with, we stayed in Hotel Max and not Hotel Iris as the feedback email mentions. This was the worst experience i have ever faced. We travel a lot, infact this time we are traveling all over Europe & stayed in many hotels & apartments but this was just not acceptable. There are 3 hotels run by the same...

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot excepting an inconvenient detail below. The room was very clean and cosy; personnel was friendly; breakfast was tasty and substantial; bikes were comfy to ride. A lot of travellers note the small rooms' size but after travelling in Korea it was big enought for us haha Disadvantage: we were living actually...

The hotel and the rooms were pretty small but very clean and modern. The location was a bit to the side from the central Amsterdam but the distance was quick to walk. There was a market nearby and some restaurants and cafes. The views were awesome from the window and the atmosphere in all was great. For the check-in and...

It's not really a hotel but a house, transformed into a hotel. Rooms are small but clean and nice. Enough if you want just to sleep there. Free wi-fi in rooms. Half an hour from Railway station on foot. Reception might be closed, because it's common for "Max", "Floris" and "Iris" hotels. In this case you should go to an...

Rooms are small, but locations is good, just on the outer of the canal. 30 minute walk to the centre. Enjoyed our stay in Hotel Max, although wouldn't recommend as a Romatic hotstop. Overpriced, but sadly all of Amsterdam is. Only qualm was the constant smell of weed from the next door room which, tbh, probably made our sleep more...

Went with my wife for a week. Great location - short walk into city centre, (trams/bus close too) lidl supermarket across the road and the Ibiza coffee shop on the corner! Staff are friendly and offer good pre-paid taxi fares to the airport. Also cost effective.

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
