Stayed in 2014 during a cold march Hotel staff was great upon arrival. Held our luggage for us as our flight arrived early.. gave us a chance to explore the city early without our cases. The rooms were small and cosy and good for 2/3 nights. Rooms were cleaned and so was the whole hotel. Building quite narrow but was...

This is a great hotel to stay at for a short stay to Amsterdam I stayed here with 2 of my friends and we had a room with 4 single beds and small suitcases which was great for us as we didn't have a lot of stuff. The hotel is located pretty centrally but still requires a good 10-15min walk...

The hotel was in the center where we could walk to almost every place in amsterdam. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room had an amazing view of the canal and it was super clean. WILL SURELY COME BACK

very expensive and small for 5 people, the only good thing was the location was close to everything downtown. there is no PARKING, there are parking spots in front but its 4 euro a hour the parking garage they suggest is 7 min drive away which isn't bad but parking could have been offered since our room wasn't clean when...

I want to give it a negative star if I can. It is a horrible hotel. Four floors with no elevators and the stairway is extremely narrow . The wall paper is peeling off, the mattress/boxes are stained. I had to force myself not looking to be able to stay there for a week. And the hotel is very noisy,...

5th floor. No lift. Tiny bathroom with no lock. it was hard to move inside I had to use a couple of cushions to even out my mattress! IT WAS WAY WORN OUT. If you can't find anything better get this as I did... But I wouldn't recommend this quality price ratio. The only advantage we had was location.

The hotel was very clean and modern looking, we stayed in a large double room which over looked the canal which was beautiful. The room was very spacious and the beds were really comfy. The cleaners do a good job and leave fresh towels everyday. We tried out the breakfast for 7 euro, it was pretty good value for money...

The location is in a really good position right near the underground. Although we ended up on bikes for most of the trips. Very clean and compact great for a short city break. The bathroom was quite small but your in and out anyway didn't bother us

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
