I would categorize this hotel somewhere in between a B&B and a hotel. If I were to compare this place to other "hotels" I've rated, they would be a three. But I gave them a four thinking of them as a B&B and due to the great folks who work there. The best part of this place is the staff....

Pretty basic and small bedroom but very clean and comfy bed. Just what we needed. Staff at reception were very helpful with tips and advice and we liked that someone was at the desk 24/7. Also rented bikes from the hotel which was handy. 25 mins walk to centraal train station.

Lovely stay. Comfy beds. Free WiFi. Great reception staff who were very helpful helping us find a park and ride just outside of the city! Even helped us pack the car when we left. Great location with being walking distance from every where. Good deal for canal cruise too!

We stayed here thinking that the room for four would work for our family. It was tight. We won't cram us all in a room again, but this hotel was clean and the location wasn't far from he sights or transportation. The reception area was very helpful in making arrangements and the breakfast was very good. The price was reasonable,...

The first impression this hotel will give you as that it quite old and dated, however it is very clean and well maintained. Pricing is good as well and the staff is very helpful. Only a few minutes walking from the city centre and a visit of the Heineken Experience on the other side of the road is recommended.

I like the new breakfast, fresh eggs and pancakes. Good thinking and easy. As always, very helpful and honest staff, they care. Good location to Heineken, Albert Cuyp, Leidse and Rembratnplein and all the museums. Good food and pubs in the neighborhood with access to trams in every direction. This hotel is a keeper and I intend to return.

First time travelling to Amsterdam? Please note that you should purchase tram ticket for at least 48 hours which is more cost effective. From Amsterdam Centraal, you are able to take a tram (No. 4) ride to Frederiksplein. The hotel is about 3 mins walk away. The hotel is situated at Nicolaas Witsenstraat 4 a quiet and safe street. There...

Dear Browniestrawberry, Thank you for writing a review. This is very helpful for us to make it more convenient for our future guests. About a month ago we have expanded the breakfast with pancakes and fried eggs (anystyle) because of the imput of our former guests. I hope you did enjoy this. I agree that we are located in a...

Cosy Hotel, very quiet position just outside the canal rings, very near to wonderful canal spots. Easy to reach by tram (near Frederiksplein) and 10 minutes walk from Rembrandtplein. Staff very nice, tiny room, familiar breakfast, all clean. A good experience. Just one minus: you can hear everything from the other rooms, literaly everything.

Thank Paolo S
