Just returned home from 3 nights in a Quadruple room with our own bathroom (others you have to share with 1 betwwen 4/5 rooms) staff were very friendly when greeting us on reception to take payment. €20 deposit per key and €10 deposit if you would like a hairdryer (returned on departure) people have mentioned previously that the stairs to...

Omg out stay at this 'hotel' was horrendous!! We were led to believe that we would have a decent size room with our own toilet and shower however we had been completed blindsided by booking.com. The room we were given was on the fifth floor (no elevator and the stairs were like climbing a ladder). We had to share a...

We stayed in this hostel because everywhere else was either too expensive or full and that's the only reason I would advise anyone else to stay here for. The 8 bed dorm was tiny, it's like they crammed as many beds into a tiny room as possible. The bathroom floor was constantly soaked in water; flip flops are a must....

Staff are polite, understanding and always keen to give their recommendations. On top of that, everyone minds their own business and it's been so chill for us 18 year olds who'd visit during the day and party at night. The only downside is the noisy street it faces, but again — if you're here to have fun, you'll probably sleep...

The price is too high for the service, the stairs are impossible to climb, the wifii doesn't work and there is only one bathroom but the problem is that is very very small. Only positive aspect: position and is more clean than other. i don't consider it an hotel, may be a Hostel.

Is not really cheap this Hostel. Has a poor internet connection, is an old building, hasn't elevator (we stayed on the 4th floor and the stairs are as a pyramid... was a nightmare). Well, I don't recommend this place.

Pros: Great location, towels included, clean linens, clean toilet, mirror in the room Cons: room too small for 6 people luggage, steps to access the bedrooms incredible small, the shower could be better.

Had great stay here, only few things didn't like, I was on the fourth floor & having asthma I had to stop a lot on the stairs (which were narrow). But the hotel was quiet, very warm and clean rooms. Would stay again but on first floor

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever dealt with in terms of management and customer service. I made a booking in June for my brothers 21st birthday present. I emailed the hotel regarding the pre-authorisation policy they have on credit cards due to my brother paying with cash on arrival. I was assured that they would not pre-authorise...

I stayed at the hotel Mevlana with a friend of mine in an 8 bed mixed dormitory. We are used to bigger and mixed dormitries so we know what we signed up for but the conditions in this hotel were just disgusting. First of all our room was located in what seemed like the basement of the hotel - there...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
