We booked here as a last resort as everywhere else in amsterdam was booked out. I was already feeling like it was overpriced before we got there. We booked a double room for three nights with a shared bathroom it was €130 a night. When we arrived the room was so tiny we had to stack our carry on sized...

The location of this property is the only thing that I would consider a plus, however, that doesn't mean that there's a massive list of bad points. The hotel is plain throughout and really basic. It would appeal to groups of people not bothered about luxury, if you are planning a nice romantic trip with the Mrs, this place is...

I stayed for a weekend in Amsterdam and the rooms were extremely small and the bathroom and shower was down the hall. The price in my opinion was quite hight for what it was, Another issue was that the room was so small and we had bunk beds and the room was not air-conditioned at all so the room becomes...

The location of this hotel is excellent, just around 8 - 10 mins walk from the Amsterdam Centraal Station and the surrounding area is full of restaurants, cafes, shops, travel agents/ tour operators, places of interest and hence it is always beaming with activities. There is also a tram station located nearby. Having said all that, the hotel is therefore...

A very small room, with a single bed and no space for luggage. One small window on wall view. No elevator and sometimes keys didn't work. Oh I forgot to explain the check: 100€ for one night . But the hotel was clean and was also close to the station and near to Dam square (that was convenient).

This was my second time in Amsterdam having previously stayed at Hotel CC (for €59 a night). This time that hotel was booked out, as was most of Amsterdam. We decided to go for this hotel because of the location and the cheapish price (€70 a night) despite being wary because of the reviews. First of all, the location is...

This hotel was my last resort when I didn't book a hotel in advance on a weekend. I was lucky enough to get a room due to a last minute cancellation. The room was on the top floor with no elevator. The steps were very steep and carry a heavy bag was awful. I swear I thought I was going...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
