We found this hotel through Hotels.com and stayed there for 2 nights in May. The location is just fabulous and it is extremely close to the Heineken museum and reasonably close to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh and Stedelijk museums. The tram stops are nearby and there are some good places to eat around the area. Central Amsterdam and the canal areas...

I spent 3 nights in this hotel with a stag party that traveled over. While it is a stag party we're not mad lads so wanted somewhere nice and calm to stay for the weekend to relax when we weren't out. Hotel Kap is lovely, excellent bathrooms with really good showers and spotless inside. The rooms were basic with had...

Spring 2017 I booked for 2 nights through Expedia, finding it via a search of "Hotels near Van Gogh museum" (this was true, only a 10 minute walk). Our bright quad room had floor-to-ceiling windows and an updated, decent-sized (for Holland) bathroom and four twin beds. Clean linen was provided daily. The hotel seems to be in a residential area,...

This hotel have seen better days, rooms, stairs and hall ways really need to be updated. Heating did not work, doorhandle was broken and half the light did not work. Refurbishment is ongoing and my room had a nice new bathroom. No breakfast available, but could be found at near cafes. I prepaid two nights, but found another hotel for...

Picture a dirty hole and put some beds in there. That's what you will pay for. It's hard to believe these places are allowed to operate in such a nice city. It is basically the most horrible sleeping experience that you could waste your money on. You are warned so don't complain afterwards like I do!

We stayed here with 5 friends for a weekend. The hotel is really bad, probably the worst hotel i have ever been. My room had no toilette! There was also no toilette on my floor! The room was extremely small, bed was narrow and mattress and pillow uncomfortable. Furnitures are old, paint, smell, drainage of the shower, all in bad...

My friend and I arrived early for check-in (10am when Check-in is 2pm) and the man at the reception greeted us happily, let us check-in but not go up to our room, and let us leave our luggage with him so we could explore Amsterdam. When arriving back to the hotel we went up the stairs, which were very steep...

We had one of the upstairs rooms (the stairs are something else!) which had yet to be renovated. Although the room was spacious, for three girls we found the one mirror (in bathroom) and one socket slightly frustrating. Others in our party had rooms downstairs - 1 had been completely refurbished and was delightful, the other partially refurbed and again...

Stayed here with a group of friends. We had 3 rooms, 1 of them had been redecorated with a nice bathroom. The other 2 rooms had not. The room we shared was very dated & extremely basic. It only had 1 socket & all the side lights didn't work. The bathroom was dark & the shower had mould round the...
