The service in this hotel is absolutely perfect. Every time I come here, just for a drink or an overnight stay, I receive a warm welcome. The food is amazing and the location is perfect. Not many hotels have this level of service.
The hotel was amazing on all levels. Beautiful room, fantastic location and most of all the best caring, attentive, helpful staff. Before we even arrived the concierge arranged series of incredible excursions with talented guides and dinner reservations. Everyday we asked them for out of the way gems and interesting things to do to make our trip special. They didn't disappoint. Coming back to the hotel after a long day of touring it was really nice to sit in the lounge and enjoy a cocktail and/or snack. The amenities are great (e.g. gym, spa). The doorman went out of his way to find and purchase for me the best marzipan in Amsterdam. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return
What an amazing experience… The Conservatorium is that… an experience. The architecture of the renovated traditional bldg with the amazing glass atrium lobby is both classic & modern… very finely created! The staff was wonderful… we were fortunate enough to be helped by Concierge - Michiel who immediately got us set up for Museum tours; a bike tour (with Rolph - who was great); a tulip farm tour w Marcel (who was excellent) ; and reservations @ 5 restaurants that all fit exceeded expectations! The room 808 was amazing… the mix or architecture again was amazing… the art create for the hotel decor takes traditional Dutch Masters with a modern spin! The bath was huge. All in all - a great experience!!!
Absolutely loved this hotel in every way. The hotel is beautiful and stylish, centrally located, has a wonderful spa and breakfast, and stand-out customer service. The concierges helped me plan a top-notch vacation. Exceptional service especially from Richard at the front desk who is a gem, and amazing concierge Etan, who went above and beyond for us - before, during and after our stay. We will definitely be back!
Collette and the team treated our family to a one of a kind experience. The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Each plate came perfectly executed and the flavors were memorable and one of a kind. The ambiance felt decadent and exclusive while the service and attention to detail was hospitable and familiar. We were not hotel guests but were treated like old friends. Highly recommend.
I highly recommend staying at this hotel. First of all, the property is impressive and has a great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located next to the Reijksmusem and Van Gogh museum and it’s easy to walk from it to the canals. On top of everything, it has one of the biggest SPAs in Amsterdam, Akasha, great for relaxing after a day of wandering around the city.
Everything about The Conservatorium was top end from start to finish. The rooms are modern and sleek with amazing bathtubs. The lobby area downstairs is fun and fresh. Definitely get the wagyu dumplings!
Perfection in every way. Our room was beautiful and sleek and very comfortable. Excellent friendly staff from housekeepers to concierges. Breakfast was delicious! We recommend the pancakes or the banana French toast. We walked easily everywhere! A flawless stay in the perfect location.
This hotel is stylish and sophisticated. The location is ideal for visiting the museums (Van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, etc.) but not great for visiting the central part of the city with the canals. The concierge services here are superb - they arranged a wide variety of activities and meals for us and had terrific advice about everything. My one complaint is that breakfast was unremarkable, slow, and overpriced, so we ate at Blushing down the street instead on the later days. Also, the rooms are oddly arranged - the stairs are very steep and slippery. You could easily fall. And our shower was downstairs, not near the bedroom, which was not ideal - it would have made more sense to have the shower upstairs and the powder room downstairs.
An unexpected and unplanned stop for lunch at the hotel’s stunning restaurant was a highlight of our 48 hours in Amsterdam. The front desk team accommodated our request by seating our party of 3 at a larger, round table that we split with another similar party. Lunch of salads and paninis was enjoyed by all- especially when accompanied by a lovely bottle of Sancerre and amazing desserts. In comparison with our benchmark of Dallas prices, the pricing was good for such a high end experience.
