We stayed at the bridge for 2 nights and it was a functional 3* hotel. We were looking for a decent place in central Amsterdam and the bridge did just that.

This quiet hotel is located off the Amstel River. It is close to the flower market and several museums and just a short walk to the Waterlooplein tram stop. The staff was friendly and courteous and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was served daily.

Just back from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We booked a twin skylight room (no 14) as we were on a bit of a budget. I was concerned that it would be a bit dark but it was a great room and very light and airy. It had a wet room with a decent shower. There was no...

This place is centrally located for Amsterdam on foot. Our first night we easily walked to the red light district and beyond. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast isn't superb, but it's free where most hotels charge 17 euro's or more per person. The "bar" is a counter attached to reception where the desk staff will...

Very welcoming hotel, good location with excellent views over the Amstel canal. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody travelling to Amsterdam including families. We stayed in the Amstel Gold Apartment which had two bathrooms, two bedrooms and large living area with great views. Breakfast was nice and there was plenty to choose from.

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night break at The Brige Hotel and we can heartily recommend it as a great place to stay. The location on the bank of The Amstel is superb with great views of "Skinny Bridge". You are close enough to walk to the main areas of interest, Flower market, Rembrandtplein,Dam square,Red...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
