Small hotel in traditional building in the Jordaan area. The rooms are tiny, but clean and nicely furnished. The breakfast was simple, but sufficient. The location was central, but quiet, and in a nice street, by a canal. The staff were helpful when you asked for assistance, but somewhat anonymous. All in all an ok experience, and I will rate...

On a recent visit to Amsterdam my partner and I booked this hotel largely because of it's location. The room was compact but everything we needed and located in a very nice part of the city. Within easy walking distance to the centre and suitably distant from all the hustle and bustle. Within minutes to some very nice restaurants. Staff...

I stayed one night in the hotel while visiting Amsterdam. The hotel is located in the Jordaan, about 15 minutes walking outside the main city center. The hotel is near quite some streets with nice restaurants and bars. None of the tourist traps that are near the dam square. Rooms are small, but well-equipped and clean. Bathroom was fine as...

As others have said, the rooms are tiny; barely enough room for two friends who used to living in a tiny Berkely apartment. It is very hard to maneuver in the room, but the location was worth it. Others have said it is far from the tourist sites, but we walked everywhere with no problem. The Jordaan neighborhood is lovely,...

Ok, the staff were very nice and it was very clean HOWEVER I would not recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 40 as even with the lift there are stairs to negotiate. The rooms are tiny. Our 'superior' room was about 11' by 8'. The pushed together single beds were very soft and did not constitute a...

I stayed here two nights. It was just right for me. Far enough away from the middle of the city and was quiet and clean. The staff is extra friendly and were more than helpful. The room was also spacious for that of a European hotel.

A spotlessly clean beautiful little hotel. The staff are extremely hospitable & helpful. We had room 34, a spacious double room with an all round view of the area. The bed was deliriously comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly adequate although the shower cubicle could've benefitted from shelving for shampoos, shower gels etc. Also beware of a low shelf above the...

The hotel is on a quiet street in the Jordaan Well maintained with friendly staff available to book cabs and chatter to when we set out for the day and returned from dinner in the super local restaurants and bars The room at the top of the building was spotless and cleaned every day Bathrooms were all in one which...

This hotel was situated perfectly, far enough from the city centre to be quiet at night, but close enough to easily travel to! Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay there again

We were on the top floor and the lift takes about 15 minutes from ground floor, and doesn't even go all the way up, so we had to haul our luggage up another flight of very narrow stairs. Due to the eaves on the ceiling, it was impossible for me to get up out of my bed without bending over...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
