It is a nice hotel, actually no complaints at all when talking about location, facilities and the friendliness of the staff. However, when we were about to leave the hotel we asked the hotel reception about taxi to the aiport. They responded immediately "35 EUR", like it was a fixed price. I asked the receptionist if it was a fixed...

We stayed one night at the Linden and were very impressed. The decor and branding throughout the hotel is stunning and small things like a free refillable water bottle, reception contactable by whatsapps and usb plugs by the bed, set it apart from other hotels. As other reviews say the rooms are quite compact but this is not a negative...

We stayed here 2 nights before embarking on a river cruise. We had a triangle shaped room with 4 windows, 3 of them with a view of one of the many canals of Amsterdam. It is a small hotel, but perfectly adequate for our needs, with many restaurants nearby, walkable, with close tram and bus service to more distant points....

Staff was exceptional helpful and nice (shout out to Patrick and Sing). We loved the coffee machine. The hotel is in a cool neighborhood and within 10 minutes walking distance of the city center. We had the triple room on the top floor - thank goodness for the lift! Room was super comfortable, clean and quiet. Easy to access hotel...

We booked the Linden Hotel for an overnight stay in a mild state of panic. Unbeknownst to us, it was Kings Day whilst we were there so EVERYTHING had already been snapped up. After looking at some photos, we weren't particularly looking forward to our stay and had low expectations. You can imagine our relief when we rocked up to...

“The staff were wonderful.Michael, Sing and Patrick could not be more helpful, really made you feel welcome and gave good advice which made the holiday a success. The area is lovely - very quiet residential neighbourhood but with lots of interesting shops and great restaurants. Very close to good transport links to all the major sights of interest. I knew...

Pros: 1. Hotel was beautiful, small and quirky, very modernly furnished, reception looked well, offering sweets in a big jar, giving us maps, keeping our luggage, staff were very friendly and efficient, bravo to them. 2. Room was small but beautifully laid out, do not be deterred by the size, it's more than enough for you and you do not...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
