The room is small and very basic. There is no kettle, hairdryer or any amenities. You have a bed, mirror and desk/chair. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever experienced. You just sink into them as no springs whatsoever. You literally roll off the bed. Our room has a window which does not close (lock broken) and...

Small 1pax room, narrow staircase, old building, worn out curtains, noise outside and noise inside. Payed 70 euro's. No breakfast. Reception is at Marnix Hotel, 60 meters away. No, would not recommend this unless it's for max 30 euro's per night.

Arrival and check in fine. Paid far too much though. Got in room. Small but ok. Wi-Fi connection was poor. The remote didn't work and the window didn't lock. We had one little curtain that didn't go all the way across. When we asked about this the response was 'Is it sunny something' the next day when our room was...

We arrived to find we were at the very top floor, even though we had requested not to be. The stairs are extremely steep and dangerous, especially when carrying suitcases. The room was nothing like the images. Very dated and absolutely tiny! We could hardly move around the room. The bathroom was okay but the toilet didn't flush properly. It...

Very very basic room for a very very high price. The worst price/quality ratio I have seen in my life! Check-in is at another building across the street, people are smoking weed at the entrance, the stairs are so narrow and steep that it's a torture to carry your luggage upstairs (no elevator, of course), both the street and the...

Quiet location ,picturesque views of Amsterdam rooftops and trees with the tourist boats passing under your windows . How nice is that ! Room was clean but shabby . Minimal room for minimal price Staff were very helpful and for just one night it provided a place to rest your head in a nice location

My stay at Hotel Amsterdam was ok for my family needs. It is very well located (near Leidsplein and Vondelpark/Museumplein). But the building is very old needing works all over the place, namely the room.

Very small rooms, uncomfortable beds, tiny bathroom you cant even wash your hands, housekeeping services do not work properly, and you dont even have a receptionist at the reception. Mind the impossible, extremely tiny stairs, you cannot take your luggage upstairs. No hairdryer. They don't even give you enough towels, do not clean your room daily. Location was really central,...

The hotel was amazing and the service was great. To mention a few, 1) the stairs were an experience as I was used to elevators. 2) the storage where the bags are saved is well secure. 3) I misplaced my sun glasses and they were found swiftly.
