This was a very unique place to stay, not your everyday chain hotel. The staff made sure we were comfortable and the European style breakfast was very enjoyable. On our final day, we went to our room and they had cleaned the room and left a bag of cookies on the bed. The rooms were small but very cozy and...

Lovely 1 night stay in a 48 hour whirlwind visit. The hotel is in a great location and although we didn't have the best room (405 small double) we still had the charm of the canal house and style shown in the images. Staff very friendly and the reception / bar / breakfast area stylish as a nice boutique small...

Stayed for 2 nights with my 18 year old daughter and her friend. Had a large room on the second floor. Room was clean, beds were comfy, bathroom was modern and clean. The lounge was cozy, breakfast was nice, coffee was great. We walked everywhere and the location of the hotel worked well for us. What stood out the most...

I had booked with Max brown to stay for three nights, unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we where unable to stay. They where very understanding and when we queried if we could receive a refund or rebook last minute (which we thought was a long shot), they where very prompt in responding and under the circumstances offered a full refund....

Dear Filiz0404, Thank you for your honest opinion on your recent stay with us. Good to hear our location and crew made a positive difference for you :) You are right about the stairs in our hotel, being situated in a 16th century canal with tons of charm the stairs are part of the deal... ;) We do offer difference...

We booked this as we wanted something a bit more up market and booked a bigger 'comfort' room. The room itself was on the top floor (our bags were taken up to our room for us!), the room was an 'L-shape' with the ensuing bathroom at one end. The bathroom was modern with a bath and a shower, didn't use...

We were instantly impressed when as walked through the door and were shown to our room. It was on the first floor. The hotel is the exact opposite of bland. It has detail everywhere, interesting and friendly staff, and even goes out of it's way to make you right at home - what with cocktail nights and game nights. If...

I didn't expect a grand room since this was the last room available via Expedia. The room itself was on a very first floor with the window facing the corridor, the room was tiny. B U T, the staff, the decor, all made up for it. Friendly staff, cozy 'cabin' theme place with little details (upon check-in, they'll hand over...

Clean and quaint. Staff was very nice, breakfast was nice. Only complaint was too many stairs. As it is old there wasn't an elevator but the staff did help getting luggage up to the room. Dear Holly P, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay! We are happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry to hear you found the room on the small side. The room was freezing and we had only a thin blanket, breakfast was scarce, the stairs precipitous ( for old person not manageable) , the toilets not in room (on floor). Not tolerable for this price!!! The staff was very kindly.

Dear Sabineryser, I am sorry to read about your recent experience with us. This is off course not the level of satisfaction we aim for. We will take your comments on board as we value your opinion.
