If you are looking for a traditional Dutch style hotel a bit quirky and different this is the place to come. Great location, friendly staff and beautiful hotel. A great choice of beers wines and cocktails served at the bar. A very comfortable and clean room for a great nights sleep, then ready to explore the local area. We were...

Myself and my partner went to max brown on the canal district on Friday and came back Monday. Sad we left we couldn't fault this first holiday of ours as it had great location it's 5 minutes from central and 5 minutes if that to go to Anne frank house. Amsterdam is more expensive than I thought, we took 470...

Room was on the small side; though, pretty standard for that price range in the centre of Amsterdam. The room was unique, well laid out, and clean. Most breakfasts in Europe are eh, but this was excellent quality and what I'd eat on a normal day.

Overall great stay at the Max Brown hotel. Shortly before our stay we requested early check-in via email as we were due to arrive early at 10am. When we arrived we were able to easily and quickly check-in and also get our room then too, which was greatly appreciated after catching an early flight. The room was bigger than expected,...

This hotel is simply amazing. The overall style is awesome, the rooms are small but very cosy! The canal view room is a must! The stairs are very narrow, which my girlfriend and I felt added to this quirky hotel. It can be a struggle for older or over weight people to get up the stairs, but understand this is...

Sure, the staff is very friendly, the position is perfect but my room was in the Japanese style. 2 x 2 m (really!) with the shower and a micro basin in the room (not in a bathroom: in the same room). I could get out from the shower and sit on my bed in one step. The basin was so...

I was there with my daughter last week. We had a very small room but it was all we needed. Our window faced the canal and we enjoyed watching the boats go by. The decor was really neat - walls covered with book covers, a turntable in the lobby. Not your typical hotel entrance - you walk into the cafe...

Lovely staff, fabulous location, reasonable price for the neighborhood. the hotel is very quirky, lots of narrow stairs (no elevator), check in is at the bar, books as wallpaper (very cool but they are a bit musty). We had the loft which was huge by European standards but I am a little over 5 feet tall and I had to...

It is located in the Jordaan, fab location, just ten min walk from centraal station (train station) and also ten min walk to Leidse plein and Rembrandtsplein etc. Friendly staff, quirky decor, our room was all the way on the top floor. Stylish room. Unexpected free delicious breakfast. Trendy bar downstairs. they write news/tips/info on the walls. It is near...

We stayed here for four nights in April and could not have asked for a better location. Very near the hustle and bustle of the train station and Damrak, but nestled along a quiet canal on the edge of Jordaan, the Max Brown provides easy access to the best of Amsterdam at an affordable price. An easy walk to the...
