The rooms are not great and the furnishings are a little old But the service staff are really nice and friendly so that makes the stay more enjoyable. The location is really good and makes up for the room. And there's cable tv! The breakfast is mediocre but I didn't expect anything from it.

Good location. A short walking distance to the central train station, tourist office, most attractions in Amsterdam. Near to shopping areas and food outlets. A reasonable good simple breakfast at the hotel The hotel has a lovely decor in the breakfast area.

Train themed hotel opposite Central Station. Usual Amsterdam life risking ordeal getting up the stairs but rooms are a good size. Location is the key. Was over at a match in the Amsterdam Arena and this hotel was ideal.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, central location, unique décor, great quality continental breakfast. We had a room at the rear of the building which was very quiet. Presumably some of the front rooms have windows onto what is a busy and noisy street. Highly recommended and would definitely use again.

Stayed here whilst spending 3 days in Amsterdam. the location is perfect with easy walks to most major attractions and the train station, rooms were tiny but we didn't need any more when they were being used only for sleeping. Staff were lovely.

We walked accross the square from Central Station straight to the hotel - no problems finding it. We arrived at about 10.30am but there was no problem about going to our room which was on the fourth floor at the front of the building. It was a first class room it was quite narrow but had all the necessary conveniences...

Just a short walk from Central Train Station & the City. Walk to the Ann Frank Home & Dam Square. The Tram is across the Street. The location is perfect but along with that, the staff can't be beat! Ali & his staff are so friendly & helpful. Maps, internet in lobby & the answer to any & all questions....

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
