The hotel had an overall feel that was very welcoming and open to talk to you if you had any queries or just fancied a chat. The breakfast service was nice and had a good buffet style array of musli and cereal with milk and yoghurt if wanted. There was also breakfast cake and some other biscuit type breads. There...

The Bicycle Hotel is located really close to a tram line which goes straight to central station amongst other places, so it's really easy to get around. Everything is within walking distance as well if it's nice weather. The rooms are really clean and the breakfast is great (help yourself to cereal, toast, cheese, ham etc). Great value for money....

I stayed for 3 nights in Bicycle Hotel. the rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfy! breakfast is generous (compared to the hotel starring and to what you are paying). Staff are very helpful as well. the only drawback is the location which I found a little bit far from the center. there is a tram though...

The bicycle hotel was a great little place to base ourselves in Amsterdam. It had everything needed for a comfortable nights sleep and facilites to freshen up, albeit basic but of course this is what you expect with shared bathrooms. The staff were friendly, you could find out about Amsterdam and things to do, you could also use the computer...

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in a room with shared bathroom and shower in May 2012. The room was very nice and warm, the bed amazingly comfortable; the only problem was the disgusting smell in the bathroom and the clogged shower The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the location is perfect.

After reading some of the reviews, I'm compelled to share our experience from Sept./Oct. 2010. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was of good quality and a nice bonus. The wireless, while not especially fast, was adequate and worked consistently when we needed it. Being able to rent quality bicycles at...

First impression, we had the door shut on us & were left standing on the doorstep for 5 minutes while the owners son found out whether they had room for us. Told us there was only one room available and it was 90euros, (pretty pricy for a room that was obvioulsy just being cleaned as we checked in!!) Owner requested...

Staying in De Pijp

Neighbourhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
