I am a returning customer. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the main train station, in the old town on the Singel canal. The century old building is well maintained and authentic. Yes, the rooms are small, but very clean and comfy. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely a bargain.

If you're looking for a luxury hotel, don't go to the Singel. If however, you want a good, comfortable & reasonably priced hotel in a central location the Singel is an excellent choice. Just round the corner from the Centraal Station and within walking distances of lots of nice restaurants and cafes, as well as being right on a canal....

Business trips in times of crisis have to be cost-effective! For those who like small and authentic hotels, this is the one to be in. A short 5 minutes walk from the Central Station. All the comfort at an affordable price! The location is on a canal in the old town. Walking distance to lots of nice restaurants and nightlife....

Just returned from a 5 day break in Amsterdam and opted for the Singel Hotel as a last minute thing as neither of us had stayed there before although we visit Amsterdam every year and have stayed in numerous hotels in Amsterdam over the past 13 years. I booked the Hotel via their own website and, as both my partner...

We booked a four day stay at this hotel and were very happy with the overall experience. Firstly, the location is great. It is very close to the Centraal Station. In fact, having not known the close proximinity of the hotel, we grabbed a cab and paid a 15-euro flat "zone" rate to ride a distance that later took us...

I stayed in this hotel for one night with my two children. We got a nice triple room with canal view. The kids were very excited about the cosy room for the three of us. The location of this hotel is excellent. Very nearby the Anne Frank house and lots of nice shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. The room...

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good location for exploring the city centre and jordaan. Our room was small and very basic, but clean, warm and everything we needed. Good for people who aren't planning to spend much time lounging around the hotel.

Nice, friendly and multilingual staff. Small hotel, quiet neighbourhood near central station and famous 'nine streets'. Low budget but value for money. Very nice breakfast. Free wifi. Perfect hotel to stay when you 'd like to visit Amsterdam for a couple of days.

Spent 1 night as a halfway point for my journey. Walking distance to Amsterdam Centraal Station and on the canal. Convenient neighborhood; quiet when I was there. Typical European small hotel - room was small and clean and the prior reviews of the bathroom floor also acting as shower floor are correct. Continental breakfast included in room price was minimal...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
