The hotel is way different than portrayed in pictures. The room was a good size, however it was not so clean and definitely needs a lot of upgrading! It is quite central, and breakfast was decent enough, however we were told we would have a phone, and in fact, while we did have a phone, it did not work. I...

Good location, 10/15 minute walk to the town centre and 30 minutes walk to the red light district. Trams run if you're not up for the walk but we managed to get lost so just stuck with the walk! Rooms basic and a little run down, our door handle fell off in our hand and the carpet was bleach stained...

My husband and I booked here for a few days away over our wedding anniversary. Very disappointed by just how small the room was as it looked nothing like their photos, there was enough room for a double bed and a desk. We had to practically step over the toilet to get in to the toilet as it was so...

The hotel was on a side street which was hard to find. The room was average which had a broken mirror on the wall and a hole in the bathroom door. The breakfast was fine and gave us a good start for the day.

Me ,my twin sister and my daughter went for three days .We asked at tourist information how to get to the hotel .The bus stopped just over the road. The staff were very polite and friendly. We felt safe sleeping at night on the room .Very clean and tidy .Yes if you start to look for faults you'd find them...

I arrived withot knowing for how long I was going to stay, so I booked two nights first and the reception person was very helpful and gave me a great deal. Later another staff member helped print my tickets and extended my stay for another night. VERY HELPFUL people and always with a smile on their faces. Rooms are ok...

If anyone reads this please listen as this reflects in honesty what your stay will be . On arrival we were greeted by the most rudest of people , customer skills were zero to put it politely . We were handed a key and entered a urine stinking lift with stains on every inch , entered the room and it...

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
