All rooms are equipped with a private bath/shower, toilet, TV with chromecast, fridge, coffee and tea facilities, safe and free internet access. The Apollofirst is near Museum Square, with the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum, the Vondelpark and the Leidseplein square with many theaters, bars and restaurants. The tram stop is a 3-minute walk away and offers a direct connection to the city center, the Central Train Station and the World Trade Center. Around the corner of the hotel, you will find the Beethoven Street, to shop, wine and dine.

Stayed Dec 14- 19. Lots of nearby eateries. A 15-20 min leisure walk towards the Blue Train Stop to Van Gogh museum w/ lots of places to see near the museum as well. Staff are very courteous, spoke English ( my Danish is not so good). The hotel location is pristine, beautiful area. Make sure you say ApolloFirst Hotel to your Lyft/ Uber bec we were taken to the wrong Apollo Hotel when we arrived tired from an 8 hr delayed flight. The room was smaller than we're used to but beautiful nonetheless. Minibar/ kettle very useful & much appreciated. 4/5 bec we were not told of other events/ areas in the hotel. There's a theater & a nice area in the back. See photos.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly, very clean and the room was gorgeous. Tea/coffee/kettle/fridge/hairdryer/iron/ironing board all supplied. Plenty of toiletries too no need to take your own. If required the rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed too. Based close to the museum district where the Christmas markets were. There is a lift to the bedrooms, a very narrow stairs so not easily accessible if you have mobility issues. If you like walking it’s about 40-50 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam. There is the metro link number 5 or 24 which are very frequent to the centre. Airport only 15 minutes by car. Would recommend staying here if you like to get away from the city noise. Would stay there again.

We're so glad we discovered this gem of a hotel. Our 4 nights there were super, in a deluxe double. PROS: - The room was lovely and warm during a cold snap, overlooking the pretty courtyard garden. There are private apartments overlooking the back of the hotel too, but their lights in the evening were attractive and warm to the eye. - Plenty of hot water for a nice deep bath! - Beautiful baroque-style decor throughout. - The most exquisite bar and breakfast room. - A tiny theatre! - Sited on an attractive park-like boulevard in a smart suburb, yet just a 5-minute walk to the local shops/restaurants/tram stops. - Museums about a 1km walk along attractive boulevards with the most amazing architecture to goggle at as you pass. - A lift! If you're familiar with Amsterdam's almost-vertical stairs, you'll know how vital this is. - Closer to the airport than town, so transfers are smoother if you choose a taxi - about €40 each way. - Professional, friendly and attentive staff. - Immaculately clean. - Superb breakfast - so much to choose from. Pastries can be warmed up if you ask. Nothing's any trouble. And proper linen, no paper anywhere! CONS:- - None!

Booked here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Looked smart from the photos and I spent a fair bit of time picking the right venue for our budget. The hotel is in a good location if you don't mind being out of the city centre. Tram stop is round the corner and public transport is reliable and easy to understand. Main issue was our room and some areas of hotel needed an urgent upgrade. This was not apparent from the photos or 4 star rating. Bathroom in particular was poor, just old really, and everything needed refreshing. Towels were basic quality and bath was ridiculously small. Some issues also with TV (not tuned in correctly) and excessive noise from other occupants above and next door, including one person using the lavatory. Think was due to lack of sound proofing. Breakfast hot food was very basic and borderline inedible. The staff were professional and welcoming, although one on reception demanded our room number on the first morning which seemed unnecessary when the restaurant server also asked for this information. So, very disappointing all in all. We paid more for quality and feel ripped off. Not what we wanted on our special occasion!

We enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There is breakfast available in the morning. They have bar service at night (I don’t think there is food at night but not sure). The staff was very friendly. Sam, Rich, David and Gilberto were all welcoming and kind. We enjoyed our time here and I would stay again. It is not in the heart of the city. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, safe and minutes from a tram stop.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Apollofirst boutique hotel. It is a comfortable hotel in a quiet location, but also close to the museums and only 20 mins by tram to Dam square. Just around the corner is a street with coffee shops, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. A really pleasant ‘high street.’ We stayed in the three bedroom - executive suite. Beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, and the bathroom is large. A lovely hotel to retreat to after the hustle and bustle of the busier areas of Amsterdam. Staff were all very kind. Breakfast is perhaps overpriced for what you get. (There are plenty of breakfast options around the corner from the hotel).

A bit worn and the rooms are small but the hotel is very clean and good location. Good breakfast and smiling personnel. Suggest that this is a good value if you are looking for a hotel. Close into the middle of town, we found the hotels to be very expensive

A group of 8 family members stayed here to visit the Vermeer exhibition. Having lived in Amsterdam I choose this hotel due to its location and reputation. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms lovely and breakfast excellent with special attention paid for the 2 celiacs in our group. Overall pleasant 2 night stay and would not hesitate to recommend. Great value, good location and excellent staff. Thanks you.
