The room and an awful musty smell.I went in my room and sat down on the bed and I saw a tiny little bug on the white sheets. I told the man working and he made me go in the room and look for the bug. Lucky for me it was still there.i took a video just in case he... More

Paper thin walls and a noisy street, no aircon, not so clean. Running water pipe. Simple breakfast, better go to the bakery 5min away. If you can not find anything else it ok for a night, otherwise not the right place in Amsterdam.

If you are a single traveler or a couple, then it's a nice place to just spend a night, relax, eat and then move again. Rooms are small especially the bathroom but it's located at a place from where Airport and City Center, bus and tram are easily accessible. You can leave your luggage if you have checked out.

The hotel is close to the main museums and the tram is at the front door. Tram #16 gets you from the train station to their front door in less than 20 minutes. Our room was facing the Main Street but the windows are doubled paned so it shuts out the street noise completely. Staff is ready to assist. Also... More

Had a 2 night stay at Concert hotel and was happy with the staff, the breakfast, and the location of the hotel. We stayed in a 2 Double + 1 Single bed room and were happy with the facilities and help provided by the staff. The frontdesk guys also helped us rent bicycles that were parked right outside the hotel.... More

Located in the museum area of Amsterdam the hotel is well located to catch trams to the city and the 197 bus to the airport. Fairly modern fit out and it has a lift which is important when you have a lot of stuff. Good wifi which was included and 7.50 euro for breakfast which I did not find expensive... More

Very polite and nice staff. Clean and pleasant stay. Expensive breakfast if not included :( but very good though. Be careful what kind of room you are booking depending if you are alone or whom you are travelling with. Much noise outside even at night. Use earplugs if you want any sleep!

Pros: - location - the hotel is within walking distance from Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. Bus 197 to/ from airport stops 50 meters from the entrance. There are several trams taking one to city centre or railway station. There are also various eating options in the vicinity, as well as an Albert Heijn grocery store. - breakfast - varied... More

I stayed here for business over 3 nights, service was top notch and the buffet breakfast was good as well. Very close to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum, but a bit of a walking distance to the centre, about 30 minutes walk from Central Station. My only gripe was that the pillows were a bit too hard for me... More

I was there twice. One time in a double room in the front part, with a bathtube. Room with a good size and quiet enough. The second time I was also a standard double room, but this was in the back. The room is smaller and has a shower - no bathtube. The problem is that the shower space is... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
