To be fair to Ibis, both here, and anywhere else, they don't pretend to be anything other than budget hotels. We booked for 6 twin rooms, and were original allocated doubles (not ideal when you're all blokes). Luckily, they were able to re-locate us as per the booking. Our room was pretty small and utilitarian, with beds at right angles...

I recentley stayed for two nights at the Ibis and had a great experience. Staff are really friendley, welcoming and helpful. We could not check in till 2pm but could leave our cases in the luggage room which was very secure. The hotel is in a great location right next to the central train station which was really good for...

Ibis Amsterdam Centre location is by far the greatest in my opinion. The location is just next to the central train station and rate was reasonable rate at the time of my booking. Thus, do note that room can be quite small. and do request for tiger floor to avoid train noises. Experiences wise, i would recommend it.

The Ibis central was so easy to get to from the airport via the train. When we arrived we were quickly booked in by helpful staff. We had asked for a high floor and a kettle when we booked and got both. The room overlooked the river and the train station, both of which were fascinating. The room was compact...

Stayed here for one night while on business in Amsterdam. The hotel is above the train station but I wasn't disturbed while sleeping. Breakfast was ok nothing to get excited about though. Great location though in the centre of Amsterdam. Would stay here again.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was on the 7th floor and we didn't realise we would need first to go the 5th floor, walk along a corridor and get another lift up to 7th floor. This was a bit time consuming but we got used to it. The room was extremely hot even with full aircon on...

Stayed here long back in May 2016. Had booked two rooms directly through hotel website. The location is convenient, right outside main station. In fact one of the wing of hotel is on the platform of station. You may get disturbed with train noise. The rooms are small but clean and with all basic amenities. Hot water kettle is available...

...this hotel is like an old friend. The place is always clean, service is friendly and efficient, the bar is very comfortable, and the location (next to Centraal Station) is the most convenient in the city. The in-house breakfast is one or two dishes away from being a thing of beauty, but as is, something (potatoes?) missing. I love this...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
