Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Having decided to use the train from the airport this hotel seemed to fit all that was wanted, except for the lack of a kettle in the room. We were just a few metres from the canal cruises, the shopping on Damrak and the local restaurants.

Dear SirAnag, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the ibis Amsterdam Center. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. The size of the room can be considered as 'small', which is often the case in Amsterdam. I fully understand your disappointment if you were expecting a large room. Unfortunately we can't change the size of the rooms. If you're looking for a larger room, you're more likely to find an appropriate room outside the city center. We are currently renovating our rooms. It was possible that you did not stay in of our renovated rooms but we working on it. If the heating was not working in your room I assume you report this to our front desk in order to solve this problem. The rooms are standard and there are not many extra's We are sorry for the inconvenience this caused you. I'm sorry to learn our breakfast restaurant and buffet didn't meet up to your expectations. We try to put together an all you can eat buffet which offers a wide variety of hot and cold items, including typical Dutch breads and spreads. We will look into our buffet and see if we can make any improvements. I can imagine that you will not come back to us but I hope you will and give u the chance to serve you better than we did now! Kind regards

Not sure, sometimes they have an extra single bed added to the room or arrange for adjoining rooms, best thing to do is ask the hotel.
