This hotel was in a good location, the no.5 tram runs into the centre from just outside, so if you have a room at the front it can be a little noisy. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. We had a room for 3 and when we left our towels to be changed only 2 were...

The hotel does exactly what it is supposed to do - a clean bed in a relatively central street in Amsterdam. The positives: - Price - Location (ish, you get what you pay for so not super central, but close enough and very easily reachable) - Friendliness of staff - Functionality of room The negatives: - Nothing really to note....

Very nice hotel, 4 star based on what you pay. It is a budget hotel and is value for money. Cleaners do an excellent job, reception staff very accommodating and friendly. A nice bar with attentive staff and outside seating. Bathroom is small and the shower always floods and can make floor slippy as the shower screen is not adequate....

Had a really pleasant stay at the Beethoven. Room a good size, tiny bathroom. Room very clean and all amenities available. Decor in rooms a bit outdated but staff were really approachable and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and stay here again. Very close to the museums but away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a nice budget hotel located a little away from the main central area of the city. The best part is , it is just few min away from the Tram No 5 station Gerrit van der Veenstraat. You can avail this tram to travel to city center ( dam and central area ) . The cafe ( where...

The hotel is located in one of my favorite shopping streets, very well located and next to the tram stop. Beethovenstraat has moderate priced stores and at the same time top of the line shops. The hotel has recently added a restaurant and is comfortable and suitable for mid price budget conscience travelers. There are family rooms with 3 beds...

Room we were initially offered was awful, tired carpets, old furniture, dust, tired dirty. Real grubby hostel feel about it. You are definitely fooled by the reception area, why oh why have they not done anything about the rest of the hotel. We complained and were moved from 3rd floor to 2nd floor where the £30 upgrade fee was waived....

Stayed 3 nights in early June. Breakfast nothing to shout about , very average European style. Room ok with a good shower which was better than most we experienced in Europe. Cosy foyer which expands into the dining and bar area. Good coffee bar feel with outside seating also. The number 5 tram stopping outside makes it easy to explore...
