A family of four, we stayed for five nights. Everything was wonderful. Staff all professional and helpful. Fantastic choice of breakfast. We had two interconnecting rooms on the first floor, overlooking a narrow street. Hotel was exceptionally quiet at night. We walked everywhere as the hotel is so central. Would highly recommended and would love to stay again. Thanks for...

Don't waste your money or your time. Staff is rude, room wasn't ready, wifi is slow. I tried to get some breakfast while I was waiting... coffee was cold. Overall this is just a bad property, I would recommend looking elsewhere in Amsterdam.

Great attentive staff, nice large room and centrally located. The restaurant in the hotel is also good. Breakfast was ok - buffet style. Will definitivly recommend this hotel, and would be happy to stay here again.

The Radisson Blu was our welcome to Amsterdam and the beginning of a river cruise. The staff was understanding of our jet-lag from the states and took care of our luggage and guided us to our very comfortable room. After a reviving hike through the beautiful neighborhood and a restful night's sleep we were treated to a remarkable breakfast buffet....

Comfortable, centrally located hotel nestled between two canals in the scenic center part of town. Superb breakfast buffet. Close to airport, Central Station, and museum quarter. Many restaurants, as well as the Dam, are well within walking distance (ahem, as is the Red Light district). Lobby bar and restaurant available.

We booked a weekend break in Amsterdam and were very glad we did, the hotel was lovely, centrally located, good sized rooms and very helpful staff. The breakfasts were buffet style, and plentiful in choice, as well as delicious. We would most definitely return to The Radisson Blu Amsterdam !!

Great location as it's walking distance to Red Light, museums and quaint cafés throughout quaint Old Towne. Less than 1 min walk to canals. Daily breakfast buffet a decent value. The hotel's commitment to customer service apparent.

Great hotel in good location. We stayed for 2 nights and then took a cruise and returned for 3 nights. The service was wonderful, all the staff were pleasant and room service was quick and efficient. Location is perfect! In the middle of everything, yet in a nice quiet side street. Our whole family, a group of 16, stayed here for 5 days, and we all loved it! Cuadruple rooms are very spacious, staff were very friendly and the included buffet breakfast a super plus for everyone! A highlight of our trip was renting bikes with...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
