We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the best western & I can honestly say that we couldn't have picked a better place to stay while in Amsterdam. The best thing about the hotel has to be the location. All of the main attractions are within easy walking distance which is advantageous for people on a short break as...

My husband and I stayed for 2 days on a quick trip to Amsterdam on route to Germany. After checking in we went to our room and were completely grossed out with what we found. (please see pictures below). Room looked to have not been dusted in months, hair on ceiling and in the bathtub, and on the bottom of...

This is a nice hotel with a great location in central Amsterdam. The room amenities were basic but clean and comfortable, and it was good value for the price we paid. The main downside was that the wifi kept dropping out and was very slow. Staff didn't seem overly friendly or enthusiastic compared to other citites we stayed at. Breakfast...

Nice enough hotel. Great location next to the Dam Square, as central as it gets. Very comfortable bed, rest of the room was fine. Was a little noisy in the late evening though, as my room was facing the street. Breakfast was basic but decent quality. Staff were fine, but seemed a bit overworked at times. Worth staying here, but...

Stayed in Best Western Dam Square Inn for one night and it was good to stay there. Nice and spacious room, best location and great breakfast. My only complaint was the wifi in room run bit slow. Very small elevator (its just opinion, not a complaint).

The Hotel was basic in its amenities but was very clean and the location was very central. The price was quite high for what the hotel offered but we were in a great location. The breakfast was continental with only hams and cheeses.

I recently stayed at this hotel for nine nights. I had asked for a double bed but it turns out the smaller rooms at the front of the hotel which face on the street are the only ones with double beds and get a lot of street noise. This caused some problems on the first night but I was moved...

I stayed at this hotel with two friends. It was OK. but in my opinion a little expensive for what it is, we paid over 400 euro for 3 nights. When we got to the room the previous guests had left food in the closet which the staff did not clean prior to our arrival, so we took care of...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
